This was really good.
good taste and easy to make
Had this last night and it was really good! Very flavorful. Lots of interesting spices that practically jump out of the package at you. The ginger garlic sauce smelled divine. I'm not a regular Indian restaurant-goer and as such am not really equipped to compare it to restaurant flavor. But it was really good, very spicy, so much so that I had to eat some applesauce on the side to cut the spice a bit (as someone who tends to favor mild to medium spice. Those who like really spicy may find it perfect). I will be having this again and intend to try all of their other flavors. Along with it I purchased the Japanese Teriyaki Chicken and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Very much looking forward to trying those as well. Such a nice change from the routine. Shake it up a bit. I love the fact that it's all-natural, etc etc is important. As a customer I would not have given it a second look without that. But seeing that the food is "clean," and has a lot of interesting varieties, I'm excited about these dinners and can't wait to try the other flavors. Perhaps it's the traveler in me that is so excited about these. I'm stuck in a smaller city for the time being and am feeling a bit stifled. I was reading the mission of the company on the label and really like that. Maybe it's time to revisit those goals and pins on my wall map. If there's one thing to mention, it was necessary to add some water to mine and check it periodically while cooking - but the chicken I was using was pre-cooked and frozen, set aside as sandwich chicken - since I was out of boneless-skinless chicken I usually use in stir fry dishes. So maybe that caused it to soak up more of the sauce. But keep an eye on it and add water as necessary. And the price makes it accessible as well.
I made this with chicken breast and I loved it. I was amazed that in less than 30 minutes, my meal was ready to eat. Preparation was super simple and quick. These kits are a great value too.
This little kit is very affordable and very good! It is easy! As a mother of twin boys I need something fast and cheap! I will definitely be trying their other scratch kits! Please continue to make more!
I am really impressed, and so was my family, with the flavor of this Street Kitchen Coconut Chicken Curry Indian Scratch Kit. We sauteed chicken, broccoli, and snap peas in this sauce kit with all the right seasonings, and then topped our dish with toasted coconut and chopped cashews, and my family flipped. I'd never tried these kits before, and now I can't imagine stir frying without them. I'll be sampling all of them soon, but this one in particular brought all the warm, hint of curry, spicy flavor to our meal.
Loved that fact that I could cook curry in my kitchen and it tastes so wonderful!!
This is my second time buying this specific kit and I'm in love with the crave-worthy flavors bursting from this dinner! Such a welcomed change from my routine meals. I made it with basmati rice and steamed green beans and it was just perfect! I added a dash of milk to make it just a bit creamy when it was done cooking and used coconut oil for the pan since it is a great high heat oil I really wanted a decent sear on the chicken. I can't wait to try the teriyaki, tikka masala and jerk chicken packs.
After exhaustive google searches I was able to determine that this sauce doesn't have any animal bits. It should really be labeled as such, VEGAN.... I mean, it says vegetarian which is nice because more people know the word....but all vegan food is also safe for vegetarians, it's the other way around that concerns us obviously....
