I had the privilege of trying Stride Rite Soft Motion shoes for free as a trial. My girl LOVES her new shoes. She giggled as I put them on, then danced around the room. They are soft to the touch and don't pinch her feet. She has quite the wide but small foot, so it is very difficult to find shoes that fit this well. These feel so great to her, she never wants me to take them off! Soft Motion Stride Rite shoes are perfect for little toes! We will definitely be buying more of these as she gets older.
I'm pretty picky about the first shoes. I only buy soft sole shoes for my little ones to learn to walk in and I usually stick to the thin leather slippers. I was skeptical about the Stride Rite Soft Motion shoes since they seem so structured but was absolutely thrilled to be proven wrong! The soles are thicker but so flexible I could easily fold each shoe in half with one hand, no "breaking in" necessary. They stay securely on my little one's feet as well, unlike a different pair of soft soled-structured shoes I had tried. The sizing is generous - I was nervous about ordering shoes without trying them on at first and wasn't very comfortable with the sizing instructions. After I placed my order my husband asked me if I thought we should have gone up a size just in case, but once they arrived I was glad we didnt. There is plenty of toe room for him to grow and still fit perfectly now! And the style is adorable. We chose the Kellen so that they would look nice with his suit for my brother in law's wedding as well as be reasonable play shoes. So cute! Everyone loved his little shoes and I've been so happy to tell my friends about them. My little guy loves to get me his big boy shoes to wear when we go out! #StrideRite #GotitFree
My 12m old boy has wore these shoes everyday to daycare up until 17m old. I sprayed the shoe with a suede protector and that made it easy for cleaning of the dirt. The shoe has been great quality and looks great with every outfit. I'll definitely be buying this shoe next winter season.
I was able to get a voucher for a Soft Motion shoe to try. Honestly though, the voucher made it my second Soft Motion shoe purchase. These shoes are the best for new walkers, and little feet that are a bit too wide for the cutesy styles you see in every department store. We got our son's feet measured in store, and learned that he needed Wide width. Prior to that, he refused to wear any shoe for long than 45 seconds. Now we battle it out to take his shoes off. (Hooray toodlerhood!). The style, fit, comfort, and quality are tops. My only hesitation is the the hook and loop closure begins to give over time. Fine by me though, he'll probably be on to the next size before these shoes give.
I hate fighting with shoes. I love these because the big velcro strap is easy to pull back, leaving the tongue of the shoe that pulls back to nearly completely open up the shoe. The foot bed is padded and very comfortable feeling. They also seem like a good quality, although we've only used them for a few weeks.
Good style and quality love it. Recieved it quickly via fedex, sorry about my neighbor complaining about the fedex delivery guy using a credit card to open the front door of our apartment building just to get in instead of calling me i did have a note on the door as I was saying he was just trying to deliver the package I hope he doesn't get fired by my neighbor's complain. Overall I'm very satisfied with the shoes and happy I received it.
I absolutely loved these shoes (and my son did too)...I think I actually cried a little when he grew out of them. We bought these when he was learning to walk. They were soft enough to help him to learn to balance and provided protection without causing him to trip or getting in his way. They are also just so darn cute!! My son could take them off if he wanted to, but he typically did not (I think he liked them). However, he would play with the velcro strap (simply mimicking me when I would put his shoes on...he wanted to do it himself!). Overall, I loved these shoes and would highly recommend them. :)
My 1 year old son hated hated hated putting on shoes, but to go outside at daycare he's required to wear them. (Which makes perfect sense.) These were just the ticket: very easy to get on, comfy, just the right fit. And yes, like another reviewer pointed out, he quickly learned to take them off. But I think the ability to remove them is part of why he doesn't mind wearing them--he knows he can take them off by himself at any time by ripping up the Velcro strap with a really awesome noise :) We love these shoes so much I have now bought the next size up, and when he's a little bigger I'll buy the third pair.
Overall awesome shoe. We had purchased a random shoe from a retail store and it was a nightmare to put on. This shoe is really easy to put on ( cough* easy for him to take off as well but worth it.) and seems he is comfortable running around. One thing my wife and I hate, however, is how easy this shoe gets all dirty. The material although of good quality it's a dirt magnet. Get ready to clean them constantly.
These shoes are cute, and the extra wide is great, but I have a few issues with them. They are very stiff, and the inside material is rough. They definitely can’t be worn without socks. Also, the top of the shoe doesn’t accommodate a high instep or chubby top of foot. I struggle to get my son’s feet in them (even though the width works for his wide feet) and when I take them off it’s clear that there has been tight pressure on the top of his feet.
