Very happy Customer!!! You have changed my mind about hairspray forever. Now I was not a big fan of extreme hold hairsprays. They had a tendency to give me “helmet head” and sometimes feel sticky. I was born with thick, fine hair that never wants to keep shape. Curling or shaping usually fell out in a short amount of time. I tried many brands and had almost given up. Then I tried Suave Extreme Hold 10 Aerosol Hairspray. I could not believe how wonderful my hair felt, looking natural with no sticky feeling, no obnoxious odor, and no messy white flakes. Love that it maintains its hold and shape. This hairspray lasted all day long. The set held up wonderfully…even with the wind and rain. Hope it comes in pump spray too so I can take it on my airplane trips. Suave Extreme Hold 10 Aerosol Hairspray is definitely worth trying. A little does the job perfectly so one canister will last a long time. Suave's prices are more reasonable than designer hairsprays. The value is great, and the big can will go a long way. Goes to show you, you don't have to spend more to get quality products.
This is hands down my favorite hairspray, I've used this it since the 90s. My daughter does competition cheer, and I've paid almost $30 for hairspray before. The latest purchase was rock your hair and her curls did NOT last. With suave the hold is great, not heavy, it's a little "crispy" but she prefers that. The picture attached was very close to the same about of time which was after competition, and the same curlers were used, you can see a big difference in suave. My daughter even asks for "the cheap stuff".
I have to use a lot of hairspray because my hair is fine and thin and straight. It will not stay in place without hairspray. I must say this hairspray surprised me by keeping my hair in place without overspraying as I had been used to doing. The damp air didn't seem to bother it at all. It didn't become sticky. I tried it on my daughter's long straight hair by just twisting a portion of her hair and the hair stayed where I had positioned it. I think this product is one we will stick with. Also, I don't feel it was overpriced. Yes, I would recommend it.
Suave Extreme Hold 10 Hairspray for Less My Wife wanted to try this so this is feedback from her: I love suave products this hair spray does a pretty good job at holding your hair in place without the heavy fell. This particular size bottle is a little bigger than most therefore you get a bit more. Make sure to do a light spray at first as the mist it gives off is pretty good and covers well. If you find yourself needing more just give it another coat lol. Just make sure you keep it moving to prevent "droplets" you'll have to either comb or pat dry or it'll dry & look like "glue". I have used expensive salon brands & this one works just as well but without the price tag! I remember my mom when she used to use Aqua Net this brings back memories. Long story short is you can’t go wrong with Suave Extreme Hold Hairspray it holds your hair where you want it and it doesn’t smell too bad. I hope this helps someone.
I had forgotten how light and even an aerosol spray was. Women in my family have thin hair and need a strong agent to make our hair stay in place without weighing it down (after we've tortured it to make it look fuller). I was able to put this spray to the test on my 76 year old aunt's hair this past weekend. It was a special occasion (her grandson's wedding) so she had to have every hair in place for the family photos. She has a stubborn cowlick and the hair spray did a great job keeping her hair in place, covering it throughout the day. The spray even held up to the wind during the photo shoot outdoors. I was surprised to find the spray so light, leaving hair easy to touch, not sticky. My aunt and I have sensitive smell receptors and found the scent was also very light, so that you couldn't even tell she had it on her hair. I was very pleased to see that the product was infused with a vitamin and protein formula, which is better for aged hair. I would recommend this product for anyone with stubborn or damaged hair as safe and reliable.
Suave Extreme Hold Hair spray is a good value for a decent product. I began using the Suave Brand Hair Sprays about a year ago and the product line is good. I normally use the Max Hold #8. This time, I got the Extreme Hold #10. It is what it says. It is Extreme. I normally scruch my hair and use a curling iron on the top and bangs. My hair will lose its curl and be mostly straight without hair spray. The Extreme Hold #10 by Suave was great for keeping my exact hair style all day. Even on a windy day, my hair fell back into place. It wasn't sticky but was a little stiff. I usually don't use very much hair spray so I rarely feel stiffness in my hair. If I was trying for tight curls or a spiked look, this hair spray would work pretty well if sprayed on heavy. Most good hair sprays leave a sticky residue which I really don't like so it was nice that this one does not. I tried spraying it on a little more heavy and then after it dried, using a wide tooth comb to loosen the style, this was awesome and I was able to keep the look all day and have no stiffness at all.
I started to use hairspray a year ago, as my hair is tick and short and the spray helps to keep a good look, but I've been trying some brands and was still looking for a better one. Not anymore. This product is amazing. It do not have a strong scent, unlike other sprays I have used, and whose smell outweighs any other scent that I'm wearing. This spray keeps my hair firm, but in a natural way, and remains for long hours. I apply the spray in the morning, before going to work and I not have to brush my hair until bedtime. And ... the most fantastic: the next day, my hair is still clean and streak-free spray. Definitely Smooth Extreme Hold Hairspray 10 is now part of my life (or at least the best friend of my hair).
This hairspray is the best for me. It has super hold, but doesn't weigh my hair down. I like that it has vitamins & protein which helps all hair types. I've noticed that it doesn't get sticky like some sprays do, and also holds up in humid weather. I'm sold on this spray.
I like the hold on the Suave 10. It held gentle curls for 5 hours. When sprayed lightly on the hair before curling it didn't gum up my curling iron. This is a huge plus. Its hold can be strong and not too stiff. That depends on how heavy you spray. I wouldn't necessarily call it maximum hold but for the price and for basic strong hold this is the product to buy. Much cheaper than the salon max hold prices and they gum up your curling irons. I tried it on curled hair. Hair put up and hair style that needed to make it through a school day. The curls made it through the wedding till towards the end (about 5 hours). Then the hair upstyle lasted all through dinner and wasn't stiff. The twist that needed to hold all day at school even made it through gym but her from did fuzz a little. All in all not bad. Great price and value.
Although I have baby fine hair, I like to wear my hair at least shoulder length-so I need hair spray to hold some styles. I usually use another brand that has an ultra-fine spray, which I love. Walmart may sell the brand I usually use, but, I have to go to a beauty supply shop to get the kind I really like. I have never been a big fan of Suave products because they seem to make my scalp itch and cause flaking. With that said, I have to say, this product was much better than what I expected. Here are the PROS: good smell, does hold my “bump” at the crown that I tease, good for when I put my hair up and need to hold some stray hairs from falling down, good price. Here are the CONS: the spray is far from fine or ultra-fine that I like, I have to hold the can further away from my head because of the thick spray which means it gets all over the place, can weigh the hair down, my head itched a little (but no flakes) Would I buy this again? Well, I might if I needed hairspray and was unable to get the kind I like. Since I have baby fine hair, I am picky about the products I use. I think many people would like this hair spray if they have “normal” hair and have used Suave products before with no reactions. To those people-I recommend this hair spray. It might not seem like a lot of difference in the 2 spray patterns shown below because it is hard to capture. If you look closely, you will see it
