Best monitor out there! Great image. The charge lasts about 6 hrs which is good I think. My last monitor didn't hold a charge hardly at all. My only recommendation would be that they make it so you can easily switch between more than one monitor with one button. It takes 4 taps to get to see the other monitor. Not a huge problem but I'd prefer a quick tap of one button. It's perfect as is for only one monitor. Oh and the talk back feature is currently extremely helpful with our dogs in the downstairs living room. I can see why they are barking and then tell them to be quiet through the monitor. I no longer have to jump out of bed and run downstairs to keep them quiet whole my 17 month old is sleeping.
I love this system, I have triple 3yr olds and I have it in their play room and bed room(ordered an extra camera). It is nice to be able to not only hear, but see them. It truly does make getting things done a lot easier:o) I like the fact that I can add two more cameras to the system if I need to. It is very user friendly.
LOVE it!!!! I've bough additional cameras and now have four (four children). I just bought this as a gift for my nanny's babyshower. I love that I can pan around rooms and have two-way communication through the monitor.
I had the latest Lorex, the video was great but the sound was inaudible and more expensive than this one, I've also owned a motorola. This monitor does exactly what you need, its easy to use and I have no complaints.
This video monitor is perfect! I bought the bundle which comes with two cameras. I use one camera for my 4 yr old & the other camera in my newborns room. Everything about this system is perfect. The daytime color is picture perfect. The quality is amazing. I love that I can talk to my 4 yr old and tell her to get back in bed. I have the monitor on auto scan @ night so it scans between the two cameras. U can have up to 4 cameras. I love this system!
We have 2 kids w/1 one the way. I purchased this camera with 3 additional cameras. I put one in each of the bedrooms, as well as the playroom (all are upstairs). I didn't want to spend as much as I did but I am happy with the outcome. It is nice to be able to keep an eye on everyone. This monitor does NOT have a split screen but you can scan all cameras one at a time- 5 seconds on each camera- or you can select which camera you want to see. The "touch" screen options are a little clunky, especially if you are used to the ease of a touchscreen phone. It is very easy to use, setup and add or delete cameras. It would be nice if this came with longer screws, as I needed to install in a corner at ceiling height in order to get most of the room to fit in the view (rooms are about 11 x 13). Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
Only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because I haven't had it very long. So far I'm very happy with it. GREAT product when you have to children in different rooms that you are trying to monitor. The parent unit can scan between 2 cameras. The pan and scan feature is excellent because I have squirmers to keep up with. The zoom feature is pretty fuzzy so I don't use it very often. The picture quality is impressive and I've been very happy with that so far too. Battery life so far has been wonderful. I actually had it running and scanning 2 cameras all night long one night on just the battery and I still had almost 50% left in the morning. One little weakness is that it will lose signal suddenly for a brief second, but this doesn't happen very often.
everything seemed awesome about this camera until it said "no signal" in one of our rooms in our house, particularly the room we are in when the kids are asleep. returned it and ordered another one...did the same thing. so disappointing. I have a friend that has it that says it works great, guess I have bad luck
We just set it up, video looked great. Then we walked out of the baby room and the picture disappeared and "No Signal" showed on the screen. The only place the signal works is in our baby room. I think that defeats the purpose of this baby monitor. :( Now to figure out how to return it.
This baby monitor was purchased online on Monday, 9/29/14 (expected delivery date 10/7-8/14) as a gift for a 10/12/14 baby shower. I received an email on 10/3/14 stating the item will be received by Monday, 10/13/14, a day AFTER the shower. The item finally shipped Friday, 10/3/14. Ultimately, the monitor was received on time for the baby shower, but not without the added stress of imagining walking into the baby shower empty-handed! Customer service/shipping did not improve when the item received was clearly an open-box return. The package was taped in multiple places. The original security seal on the bottom of the box had been opened and box was torn. The sticker covering the monitor screen had previously been removed and reapplied--a corner was peeling up. I cannot believe Walmart would think it is acceptable shipping a item in this condition without clearly disclosing this information. The monitor was presented to the parents-to-be with apologies, but is being returned today and, this or a similar model, will be purchased elsewhere.
