Good looking gate. Opens and closes easily. Worth the price. Only issue is that this gate looks white in the photos and even on the box. It is not white, it is a dark cream or light tan color. They don't state white any where, they don't state any color. So if you want a white or off white gate, DO NOT buy this one. But if you don't mind this color, it is a great gate. We are using it to keep rottweiler puppies out of our living room. They are big and it is working. Once they are 100 lbs in a year, I am not sure if this will work but by then they will be trained.
I am extremely happy with this gate, it's excellent. It was a breeze to install, 15 minutes. Fits securely, solid & sturdy. Very easy, one hand opening. Hard to find 6' gate, so glad they came up with this one. With 2 included extensions, it has many adjustments so it will be easy to move when my 7 month old grows. He loves to stand up at the gate & watch me in the kitchen. Even opened to its full 6" length it does not wobble as he hangs on. The only thing I would change is the fact that the gate does not swing around flat against itself when not in use. But I can live with that. I would highly recommend this gate to anyone.
As usual fast delivery. I used site to store for free shipping. The gate is well made and the instructions were easy to read and the assembly and set up went fast. I installed the largest gate to cover a 65 inch span, with that distance I noticed minimum bowing on the bottom that affected the closure of the gate. Adjusting or fine tuning the 4 side tension bolts helped. I use the gate on my porch to keep the dogs separated from my cats. The gate looks good and works well.
I installed this baby gate yesterday to keep my 10 month old in the living room and out of the kitchen and the rest of the house. My doorway is 64 1/2 inches wide. I thought I was going to have to wait for my husband to get home to install it but I didn't have to because the instructions were easy to follow. The cream color is nice. The gate is very sturdy and the door is wide enough. The only wish I have for this gate is that it would have the auto close door but the door is working just fine. I am satisfied with this gate. The other nice thing is that you can remove the gate and leave the hardware up so whenever you have to pop the gate back in for a friend who has a baby or whatever it is very easy.
While I'm sure this product is great for toddlers, we bought it to keep our medium sized dog confined to the entry area of our house, while we're away. No more dog crate! It fit perfectly in our 6 foot entryway. Walmart processed our order quickly. It arrived in excellent condition in 3 days.
This is a very well constructed (metal) easily installed (1 hour or less) gate that expands for larger spaces. It is not one that you go OH MY THAT'S A BABY GATE! It blends with the decor and looks like it 'should' be there. As you can see from pics i have an ivory velvet couch that my fur baby is not allowed on and so this is THE perfect solution. Oh, and the gate swings frontwards and backwards. The latching mechanism is such that you have to push the spring back, pick up and over. Me likey! We had to bolt the bottom bracket on our trim, but we arent planning on going anywhere for a while so it was okay with us. If the measurements fit, buy buy buy!
My husband and I needed a wide gate for the opening to the office ....which was an attraction to our small children. This gate not only met all the requirements, it looks elegant against the backdrop of the office and the wall paint. The gate opens and secures easily with one hand.
Took my husband and I about 30 mins to figure out how to install. We bought a different gate at the same time and I had to installed in about 5 mins with the help of my 6 yr old. This one was much more difficult to figure out and the instructions weren't too clear. Overall, it does serve its purpose and keeps the little ones safe!
I bought this gate and after trying to install it, I returned it. If you have base boards, forget it. I cut a section of the base board out to get the brackets to the floor just to find out there was something metal behind the wall and I could drill through it. I gave up and returned the gate. If you have a wood frame around the opening , this would work well. The gate itself is nice. Now I have to replace my base boards.
I chose this gate because it was the only one that would fit the 62 inch opening between my foyer and kitchen. I ordered it online and when I got it, it wasn't what I expected. First of all it isn't white, but looks like it is in the photo. It is VERY heavy duty gauge metal - reminds me the of a metal fence that is used outdoors! weird. It also needs to be installed to the wall with the included hardware(not something I would attempt on my own). Only positive I will say is that the gate mechanism works well. It is not pretty either. I thought in my new construction home it would fit into the decor, not so. I returned it to the store, and have decided not to use any barrier after all.
