[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally got the Secure Space™ Extra-Wide Safety Gate for my house with a wide opening on our banister and stairs. We unfortunately had a fire and had to move temporarily into a rental. The stairwell is smaller but thankfully this is adjustable. It works both in our large banister and in our smaller stairwell. It is super easy to pop the adjuster in and out and to install as well. You don't even need tools unless you want a wrench to tighten up the tension. Perfect for so many situations.

Our stairs are wider so this gate was a great option for us plus the look is very nice. I didn't want something plastic so this heavy, sturdy gate works well and looks good!

We have a wide staircase entrance and this gate fit perfect. It is very stylish so it doesn't look out of place. Also, it's easy for an adult to open but a child can't. The fact that it has a hold up position is the best bonus. When I don't need it to be locked and have to go thru the entrance this becomes very convenient. This is the best gate on the market.

I have used quite a few gates over the years and this by far my favorite. It is easy to install and doesn't damage walls. Very well made.

The latching handle is easy enough for us to use but hard enough that our now 2 year old can't figure it out to get into our kitchen. The width was what I was most excited about, we have a wide open floor plan and needed something that was wide enough to block of our kitchen. Problem solved with this wonderful gate!!! If you're in the market definitely give this a try it's a wonderful product!

While those gates were reasonable and had great reviews they didn't last long ... at all. We then started to research Summer Infant and their products and immediately wanted to give it a try. We have been using this gate for just 4 days and already it has been wonderful. The lock/unlock button is easy for adults, easier than other products in the same market. It is super sturdy and easy to use! The instructions were user friendly and straight forward too. This is probably the easiest gate set up that we have had! We will be ordering products from them again!! This gate keeps our baby safe and puts us at a real ease!!
Great purchase. Love that it's pressure mounted and you don't have to screw holes into the wall. Easy to open and close.

I love that you can add or subtract pieces of the gate to make it fit perfectly in your home for your specific needs. It's a great height that doesn't make climbing easy, which is a huge plus. Installation was also super simple.
Used on the bottom step of the stairs - the quality is good, the installation is good, the latch to open and close is easy to use - easier than two gates my daughter uses - BUT - the swing gate is only 19 inches wide - if you are not model thin and have a baby on your hip - I bump my hip constantly - the swing gate should be at least 24 inches - Was going to buy another for the entryway into my living room and there's no way my heavy friends will fit.
I don't understand how this product has positive reviews. The assembly has a disconnect between a hang tag and the instructions. The door is off-center and will not work. My wife and I are both civil engineers plus my focus is construction I literally build for a living. What a frustrating experience and waste of valuable time. Look for a better product with quality assembly.
