I purchased this product as a replacement iron and have been NOTHING BUT PLEASED!!! I love the temp settings, I have ironed a variety of fabrics, including silk and have ended with a smile on my face EVERYTIME!! My fiance ironed several pairs of pants, AT ONE TIME he liked it so much. My mother LOVES to iron, and seriously has several, with different features, I am going to replace them ALL with this one!!!
I am happy with the heat intensity of this product. It also glides very well on the clothes. The steam and spray are good, although sometimes, I find some dripping when I stand the iron upright.
I quilt and have used the same $5 iron for years until I dropped it recently. So I thought I would spend a little more and get one that doesn't leak or drip. This looked perfect. Well what a big bunch of bologna! I had same trouble as other review. It leaked everywhere, including the handle, knobs, everywhere. It also only steamed half the time. Returning today. I guess they dont make them like they used to. DO NOT BUY.
I'm returning this iron today, as I've had it 2 weeks, and despite the "NO leaks!" tag, it leaks everywhere!! ... around the control knob & buttons, out the "spray" hole, out the resevoir fill opening, and in 3 areas of the seam of the water resevoir. (it does this even when there's only a small amt of water in the resevoir!) It's gotten worse with each use. Also, the temperature seems to fluxuate a lot. Even on the cotton & linen settings, there's periods where it cools a good amount before the heat kicks back in. It has 3 steam settings (low-med-hi), but even on high, it only steams maybe 1/2 the time. The setting knob is a poor design & less than simple to adjust with the hottest 3 settings all crammed together. It looks nice, and the smooth faceplate glides niceley, but that's the only positives I can really comment on. This iron was previously made in purple, and if you read those reviews, everyone complains about the leaking. I wish I'd read reviews before blindly selecting this iron at the store.
The steam and mist buttons on the one i purchased broke and fell out of the iron within 2 weeks. Very poor design. Don't waste your money on this!!!
