I really like this product.. what intrigued me to purchase it was the intake/exhaust for fresh air exchange. it is listed to be online only , when i went to our local store i found it on the shelf for 10 less than i gave for it. so i will be purchasing another.
This fan is incredible. In the past my husband and I are usually miserable at night because the circulation in our house is terrible. But since we got this fan we have to cover up with blankets! We use it with both fans blowing in at night instead of the circulation option with one blowing in and one out. The thermostat is great too. I bought a second one for my sons room and with the thermostat setting on the fan shuts off without getting too cold in his room. I'm thinking about ordering more for the other rooms in our house.
The discription on this site says the fan is 3 speed which it is not, it is 2 speed with temprature control, and is able to reverse each fan by its self.. other than that this is a great fan for cooling 1 room such as a bedroom.. its not a whole house fan and never was sold as such. I have had other brands of same type fans and this for the dollar is a good value..with fan running on low you should be able to sleep with out a problem..
We were looking for a nice window fan that would ventilate a small office room with two stinky cat litter boxes. This fan is fantastic. We really like how quiet it is and how much air it moves on its slowest settings. I can't imagine a better product for the money. We have ZERO cat box smell with this little fan running. It looks nice in the window. This unit IS SOLD in the Wal-Mart stores, even if this website says it is only available online.
lightweight and yet powerful. I like the idea I can control the degree of coolness. Excellent for apartments. Will probably get another one so as to keep an extra one on hand.
We Bought this fan because our bedroom was so hot at night we couldnt sleep. Since installing fan our bedroom has cooled down by 20 degrees at night allowing us to sleep
Where regular fans aren't helping, this fan will solve your problem! My small room has only one window, and I have to keep the door shut at night. It is consistently *much* hotter than the rest of the house. But last night, I put this fan in the window--setting one side to "intake" and the other to "exhaust" so it would exchange the air--and closed the door. When I opened the door about an hour later, the room was *cooler* than the rest of the house! For the first time in ages, I slept through the night. Other fans just blow the hot air around a stuffy space; this fan can actually exchange the air and solve the problem!
The fan was easy to install, has a quiet motor, and very efficient.
My wife and I raise show quality chickens and we have a small chicken shed that needed some good ventilation. We seached at Home Depot and Loew's etc. and couldn't find exactly what we were looking for. This Sunbeam fan worked out to be just what we were looking for! I cut an opening in the chicken shed to accommodate the fan and it worked out perfectly! The only reason that I didn't give it five stars on the "Meets Expectations", is that it was supposed to have 3 speeds and it only had 2. The fan runs very quietly.
the fan isn't powerfull enough for a large room, such as a living room. but for a small bedroom, yes, the intake is much stronger than the exhaust. i have found that the sides you pull out are not long enough for some windows.
