I HAVE USED THE BOX TYPE WITH AUTOMATED HOSE ALIGNING WITH HAND CRANK FOR DECADES AND ONE JUST BROKE SO I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND $50 PLUS TO REPLACE IT SO THIS WAS A GOOD COMPROMISE AND IT MOUNTED TO MY WALL AND HAD A TRAY ON TOP FOR MY HOSE CONNECTIONS TO BOOT. THE ONLY THING IS THE HOSE GUIDE ISN'T AUTOMATIC LIKE MY OTHER ONES BUT IT UIS EASY TO MOVE IT WHILE WINDING. NOW IT WILL BE HOW LONG WILL IT LAST... PRESENTLY, IT LOOKS AND WORKS GREAT AND WAS EASAY TO MOUNT....
This was very easy to set-up and install! I must say it is a little tedious to wrap the hose up in though!
My 12 year old TWM200 Suncast hose reel finally broke. The new look-alike product has been redesigned structurally so that it looks less likely to break. They still sent the old assembly instructions which was confusing, eg. in the new version there is no difference in the right or left side reels though the instructions specify which goes where. I was disappointed that they changed the mounting holes placement so it wasn't a quick remount. But I have faith this product will be even better.
Received the hose handler in good shape. Wasn't too excited that it had to be assembled. Got through it OK , not a big deal just inconvenient,
I have not yet assembled this (replacement); I need time to read and assemble. I thought it would be shipped assembled so I wouldn't have to go through the process.

Assembly instructions were incorrect in one place, requiring disassembly and reassembly. Built in hose guide is of little or no value as it doesn't actually guide the hose.
Good, for directional installment, facing you. Easy to assemble but takes time :)
Good value. I wouldn't mount it in a sunny location, I believe the plastic might deteriorate from constant sun. The shelf is very convenient, keeps nozzles and sprinklers handy.
The reel came well packed in a box ready for assembly, instructions were east to understand. I mounted at the recommend hight. No bending over to wind up hose! Works well, although the device to track the hose could be easier to move while winding up the hose. I'm happy with the convenience of the wall mount bracket. No leaks so far.
