The shed was easy to put together, it has good instuctions and everything was there. I assembled the shed by my self with no help. I only had one set back during the assembly, one of the corners had one slat that was screwed on it backwards and the corner had two tongs facing out instead of one tong and one groove. The corners are pre-asembled and after I realized what was wrong I removed three screws and turned the slat the opposit way and it fixed the problem. I am using the shed for a TV cabinet on our patio by the pool. I relocated the shelves down lower than the instructions had them placed and it will now hold a 55" flat screen TV on the top shelf. Still lots of room left for storage on the bottom shelf and the floor of the shed.
We needed a shed to store garden tools, fertilizers and other outdoor items in Southern California. I am very pleased with the Suncast product: it is well-engineered, sturdy and attractive. The assembly required about 6-8 hours following an illustrated set of instructions; pay close attention to them. I found one error in the instructions, which seemed to confuse "tongue" with "groove" and took me about 30 minutes to realize, and required turning the back panel in the opposite direction from the instruction. The package was short about 6 deck screws, otherwise everything was in good order. You will probably need a second pair of hands for about half an hour. An added bonus: standard 5-tier steel storage shelving, 48 inches wide and 18 inches deep, fits perfectly inside--just trim a few inches off the top supports with a hacksaw. I bolted it to the back for additional stabililty. Buy the black unit, which complements the hardware on the shed.
If you're purchasing this shed to store yard tools or something that's not valuable I'd say that you'll be getting exactly what you want. If you need to store anything moderately expensive in it, don't do it. The lock mechanism isn't high quality. However, the shed itself is nice, it's sturdy, it's attractive, everything I wanted. However, I decided to go buy two alternative locks for it which now it would take quite an effort to open it.
