I have had many smart phones over the years....expensive phones that fail. I wanted to try going back to a simple phone. This is a great phone. It has many features like the ability to insert a micro sd card etc. that I was not expecting to find on such an inexpensive phone. I use it for just talk and text. I have purchased spares just in case it dies on me because I am so tired of expensive smart phones. Great speaker...great little phone.
I took this phone to T-Mobile and they set me up with minutes. This is working just great! I also was able to set up the Bluetooth in my car so I can receive calls when I'm driving without having to access my phone. Wonderful safety feature. Thank you!
Tmobile wanted 3 times the price of this so ordered it on line as the Tmobile option. Sim card loaded in seamlessly. This is a spare phone prepaid minutes for emergency usage resident in vehicle so it's always there. Perfect for this purpose. I always start with Walmart first and forever. If by chance product is not available, then it is on to other cites. I am seldom disappointed.
Bought this phone to try out T mobile when At&T service started kept going down. Signed up with the $3 a month pre paid plan. Like the service and the phone. Simple, standby battery good, reception great. Walmart has the lowest price on this phone. Buy it if you want a simple phone. Recommend
First off, I downgraded from a Droid Turbo to this phone, because I felt like my smartphone had taken over my life. Anyways, I got this because it was $10 and it worked with Family Mobile, Walmart's cell service. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. Thought I could get this until I found something better. But, I am blown away by the amount of features this phone offers for only $10. Aside from not having a QWERTY keyboard, this phone has everything else I need. I don't want access to the internet or apps on my phone anymore, but I would still like to have access if I really need it. This phone has a browser that displays pages just like a laptop or smartphone, except that the page is ultra magnified to make up for the low resolution. Otherwise, I was able to check if I had any new Yahoo Mail messages and was able to do a Google search. I'm really surprised to find out it has Bluetooth. I'm even more surprised to find out it has a micro SD slot up to 32 GB's. Looking forward to using it as an mp3 player. Probably the most amazing thing, for a $10 phone, is that it has speech recognition. Haven't tried it yet, cuz I never really liked that feature on my Droid Turbo. But, I'm kinda shocked that a $10 phone can have all these higher end features. The battery is pretty decent and charges up really fast. So, who really cares that it doesn't last 20 hours. It doesn't take hours, like my Droid Turbo(the battery was old). Lastly, it updates the time and date automatically and has all the basic features that other dumb phones have, like assigned keys, alarm, stopwatch/timer, calculator, world clock, calendar, and even voice memo. If you need more than that, you should really buy a smartphone. What this phone offers far exceeds what you should get for $10. I'm very happy with it.
I purchased this phone as a backup. I'd recently gone two weeks without a cell phone while mine was being repaired. I started looking for a backup phone and came across this gem. I haven't opened or used it yet, but for $10, it's worth it to keep as a backup. Even if I don't ever use it, it was worth it.
We buy these phones for our kids and are happy with the performance and price.
The Rally was a low-cost way of improving connectivity with T-Mobile. I like the speakers better, and being able to search for contacts at the base contacts screen. The switchover from my old phone to the new one was quick and easy.
The battery charge life was too short. The functionality is not appealing. Hope it gets more practical as time goes.
I purchased 4 of these units from walmart.com and each of them stopped working within 6-8 months of normal regular use. Some just stopped turning on (it was not the battery as I had 3 others to swap and try, it was simply that the phone stopped working). Far from coincidental that this would occur. I firmly believe that these phones, even though they are labeled as new, are possibly refurbished or second-rate items.
