Starclassic Performer Series now feature shells of 100% birch. Birch is slightly warmer and darker than maple and has long been favored by both recording and performing drummers for its excellent projection. The Star-Cast Mounting System with its die-cast zinc hoops augments the exceptional power of the Performer basswood shells. Performer bass drums feature wood hoops fitted with the innovative MCH-SC clawhooks whose recessed design reduces the possibility of damage to the tuning bolts.Performer bass drums are fitted with the Evans EQ Series (EQ1) on the batter side, and the Tama Original black logo head on the front. Both are fitted with O-rings for muting so you can get a great sound practically right out of the box.Hardware and cymbals not included.
