Compact, easy to maneuver, easy to start. Hopper for shredder is relatively small so requires patience and slow feeding of material but chips branches and limbs quite well. Perfect tool for home use. I have almost 1/2 acre with a lot of trees and large garden and it's seeing a lot of use.
I bought this shredder so I could turn tree limbs, dead plants, garden debris, newspaper, kitchen scraps, and cardboard into homemade mulch/compost. It has shredded it all with no issues. The bag being included is a real plus and makes it easy to spread the mulch mixture when done.
Don't usually write reviews but had to for this product. Bought this to clean up a large brush pile of maple and oak branches accumulated on my 1 acre property over about 8 years. It was a large pile...lol. Overall options for vacuum and ability to handle up to 3" branches were key selling points for future uses during fall cleanup etc. Assembled easy. Put it to work and I can not be happier with performance. Started first crank, runs like a champ and eats everything up to 3" without a problem. Old dried out oak branches......no problem. 10' long 2" maple branches no problem. Sometimes weird bends in branches can be a challenge due to them not fitting into shoot. I just threw them onto my wood pile for burning. Throw the twigs and smaller stuff in hopper and chews them up. Highly recommend this product.
I bought the Tazz K32 Chipper-Shredder last spring after my MTD finally died. It was one of the best choices I have ever made for gardening power equipment. It has power to spare to make short work of branches, leaves, and limbs, producing a fine mulch which is suitable for use around your garden. It is a pleasure to use and easy to move around the garden. Thank you for a great product.
I bought this chipper/shredder for the leaves on my property. It was easy to assemble. When I finally put it into action, it started with minimal number of pulls. I literally ran that machine from start until it ran out of gas. I chopped leaves and small branches for two whole days on a weekend. Great Machine!!! Operational suggestion: Don't put too many leaves into the hopper at one time because it clogs up. I found if you sprinkle the leaves into the hopper, it will eat them as fast as you can feed it. Again, Great Machine!!! I've been telling all my friends about it.
Chipper Shredder arrived on the correct date and on time. After assembly , engine started on the first pull. Very sturdy machine. It did a great job reducing the limbs and twigs mulch to put spread around the yard. Glad we finally have one to use for many years to come. It actually wore me out Saturday. What a work-out!
The chipper is very powerful and handles any brand that will fit through the shoot and with the 3"diameter shoot, there is not much this won't handle. Starts easily and simple to use. Would give 5 stars but original shipment had missing parts and damage, I will note that Earthquake customer service was very good and sent replacements quickly.
Before I totally give this machine a rave review there is a point that needs to be addressed. The packaging of the Tazz K32 was not good. The chipper hopper was bent and twisted at the bottom where it fastens to the machine. Having some mechanical ability got me through this struggle. After assembly though everything went as said in the manual. Oiling up the Tazz K32 is better done with taking off the 3 inch branch tube. The weird angle getting into the oil inlet is a monster . There are 3 screws to take out and it does save hassle! Start up was easy. after a few pulls the engine was trying to start and proper choke and throttle settings allowed this to go on factory full choke, and rabbit setting. Let the work begin! The Tazz K32 would not be stopped. Some bigger branches had to be fed in a pumping motion, while others were slurped up like spaghetti and turned into chips! The hopper handles everything I have put in there with reason. We have a lot of papyrus that is rather rope like that does better folded in half and put into the branch tube! I'd love to give this product a 5 star rating but because the packaging had me angry on assembly, it will get a 4 star. This is a great machine overall, i highly recommend this for people that have thick brush and limbs at an under 3 inches to deal with. If you can't handle the assembly get a friend you know to help because once your machine is built, the Tazz K32 will take it from there.
Arrived a little bent on the feed hopper (minus one star for shipping company) but easy 2 fix and away I go chipping! LOVE this little green monster!
Purchased this K32 chipper about a month ago, even though I had read many reviews about other peoples chippers arriving damaged. When the box was delivered I did not think it looked too bad, so I went ahead and opened it up .Needless to say mine was damaged also. I have had metal work in my past so I decided to fix the hopper. My repair turned out alright, but just thought you would like to know if someone did not have metal working experience they would have had to return it. The damage was to the hopper flange, which was bent up against the hopper. Even with this happening, I still think it is a good machine.I have only run a few branches threw it .It does eat up the 3 inch branches as advertised. The leaves have to be pushed into the hopper because of the rubber fingers across the top of hopper.
