This same heater at other stores was much more expensive. Setup is really easy and works great. My fish seem very happy with my choice.

This a a great heater, I use it for my 36 gallon bowfront aquarium!! You can adjust the temperature from 76 to 89 degrees. All you do, is adjust to temp. you want, and plug it in. Also it is completely submersible, that means it can go anywhere in the tank, as long as it is all the way underwater. Overall, it is a great product.

i've had this heater for awhile now been keeping it at 75 but not that i have goldfish i keep it at 72 and it is a pain to keep it at that temp. when the room temp. changes you have to turn the knob on the heater to correct the temp. other than that if you want the temp. at 75 it will stay around that no matter what.

Would not use for a 60 gallon tank

I have been using this heater for about 1 year in a 30 gallon tank. To get the water to maintain a 78 degree temperature the adjustment knob is almost all the way to the highest setting. The ambient temperature in the room that the tank is is about 69 degrees in the winter and about 72 degrees in the summer, but it seems like this heater is on all the time! I do not see how it could maintain a constant 78 degree temperature in a 60 gallon tank. All in all it does get the job done in my 30 gallon tank.

Inconsistent, and waaay over rated. I have two rated 30-60 gallons each in a single 80 gallon tank. They are simply inadequate. Don't subject your fish to inconsistent temps, pay a few more dollars and get a quality heater.

good for 20 gallons max

I purchased this heater for use in a 33 gallon tank. On the highest setting it held the tank at 72 degrees. The thing constantly flicks on and off, and while the instructions claim this is normal operation, it is not effective. I wondered why this heater would not stay on constantly like my other heaters. It turns out the heater coils are of such thin material they will lose shape if in operation too long. So the thing cuts off all the time just to keep itself from melting down.

This heater is GARBAGE!!!

I have had this heater for a little over a year, about 6 months ago I noticed a bunch of dead fish in my tank pretty much overnight, when I lifted the lid to scoop them out I felt the heat coming off the water...The water temp was way off the thermometer and the heater was glowing RED. Lost about $40 worth of fish...ALSO, the suction cups will not hold the heater to the side of the tank... It floats to the surface...I have been looking for a quality heater everywhere with no luck...

Worst heater ever made!

I have had three of these heaters. One in a twenty gallon and two diffrent ones in a 55 gallon. In the twenty gallon the first day I hooked it up it heated the tank up to almost 90 degrees! It then must have burnt itslef out and would never heat the tank over 70 degrees after that and it says its coming on but it really isnt it just blinks on and off all the time never staying on for over 10 seconds. With the 55 gallon both of them do the same thing on max and don't heat the tank over 71 degrees. These are literally the worst heaters ever made. I have never had one work more than a week multiple times. DO NOT BUY!!!
