Great calculator for figuring out basic to intermediate machining measurements. Worth its weight in gold!
I thought it was going to be a less strudy than it actually is. It has a thin plastic insert that helps the sides stay ridged. Very hapy for the price.
Great calculator for school at the right price. Can do fractions, parentheses, decimals, and more. Most high schools use this model since you cannot pre-program equations.
Thank you!
I have been teaching 8th grade math and algebra for 18 years. These are by far the BEST calculators you can buy for middle school and early high school. They do order of operations, scientific notation arithmetic, fraction arithmetic, trigonometric functions, simple probability, and much, much more. They are sturdy, relatively easy-to-use, and inexpensive. Buy these unless you need a graphing calculator or other advanced math functions.
Had to purchase 2 for this school year in middle school. School had this item on school supply list.
During the recent ice storm I was locked out of college the week before finals. All of my study materials were in my locker, including my calculator. I was able to order this inexpensive calculator online through Walmart for same day pickup, making it possible to study over the weekend for my math final the following Monday. Got my A by 2 points. The ease of this transaction, as well as the low price were, I think, important parts of the stars lining up for that A. Great little calculator for the price, as well.
We were needing the TI-83 calculator but I simply can't afford it so I bought this after careful review. It does 95% of everything my 8th grader needs with the exception of graphing and there is no matrix function which my older daughter needs. However, it works very well, easy to use and comes out of the pack ready to go. As I said it doesn't do it all, but it's a great inexpensive substitute and the middle and high schoolers can benefit from this one.
Seems like its an ok calculator. It does seem a little lightweight like it might not last forever (but nothing lasts forever now a days, lol). I had this same brand in high school and it was a really good quality calculator. This seems like its a little more cheaply made then it used to be.. but I do think it will serve my daughter who is using it for 7th grade this year. It's definetly better then the pen and gear brand I bought last year (that never worked at all) so in comparison to that, it's great!
This calculator works great but it's a little odd...it's more like a digital adding machine than a calculator but again, it works great. I bought this one due to the fact that I had an old TI calculator in which the battery went out and I couldn't get the back off to change it. The battery lasted for many years but finally went out. I thought this one was an upgraded version of the same thing. It's a good calculator but, again, it reminds me of an adding machine more than a calculator.
