I am in Trig and this calc. serves its purpose. However, it does not calculate answers in radical form..ie..square roots.....it only has answers in fractions or decimals. I have a 10.00 Casio fx-115ES that does! Plus does all trig functions (Sin COs Tan). So it depends on how in depth you need to go. Casio even has the Arc functions as well. If you need to graph Casio doesn't.
One of the best calculators I have ever had
I think the TI84 is the best calculator you can buy, if you need the power. If all you want to do is basic arithmetic, you don't need the 84. A much cheaper calculator will do fine. But if you need a graphing calculator with statistical functions, the 84 is for you. It is more powerful and is more user-friendly than competing Casio and other TI calculators. I teach statistics, and I couldn't function without the 84. In fact, I bought two -- one for my office, and one for home. Check out the package carefully when you receive it, though. The batteries that came with mine were dead.
This calculator is very useful and a good purchase! It also ships in faster than expected!

This is an amazing calculator, and for $99?! Amazing deal. I mean $25 can buy alot these days. The color is gorgeous, not too bright, not too dark. The packaging was really good cause it was impossible to get out, the batteries are included and they do last a while (:
