It’s almost always so hard to know if a supplement “works” or not, but I do use the Oura ring to track sleep, and the data does show a small but consistent and measurable improvement in sleep that started the day I started using this supplement.
PharmGaba works better than expected. Helps to create and then maintain a more calm and thoughtful state throughout the day and especially in stressful environments and does not cause sleepiness. Taken at night, it enhances my natural sleepiness at bedtime, has calmed my dreams but does not create the morning hangover that melatonin does. I have added it to my very short list of long-term supplements that also includes Super EPA Pro.
My naturopathic doctor recommended this to me for stress 1-3 times a day when needed. Only really need one if necessary. Works like a charm! I love this product! It always works for me in stressful situations!
As I've gotten older, sleep can sometimes be hampered for various reasons. I use to take melatonin but sometimes my REM is not as long as it should be. I noticed PharmaGABA gives me a nuanced relaxed tiredness and sleepiness that doesn’t feel like a drug.
This is so helpful for sleep, especially if you used to take Kavinace before Neuroscience had to pull it off the market. Thorne is also trustworthy for purity by my very particular doctor.
GABA really helped reduce inflammation
I have trouble turning off before sleep. Diving into various reasons why this could be, I went down the rabbit hole of learning about glutamate and GABA. Since I am “on” all the time, I am guessing I have trouble converting glutamate to GABA. Supplementing with GABA before sleep has been a real game changer for me, and I will continue to make it part of my nightly routine.
Best GABA supplement I have ever tried
I heard great things about Thorne, and heard this supplement is great for sleep and stress! I'm a college student and was stressing over grades and exams. Mind you I share a bunk bed, any movents trigger me and makes me wide awake again! But with this supplement it helped calm my stress and feel "normal" where I don't over think and I can actually relax, to do things one at a time! It relieved my stress that most things didn't bother me, and I can just close my eyes and sleep! I don't feel groggy in the morning so that's a plus.
After forced neuroleptics and generally being put through hell, Thorne's GABA finally brought an end to constant inability to sleep. It took time of course, but this product is absolutely incredible and I can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Thorne and anyone out there who wants to get away from meds, this is a great, natural, and healthy alternative.
