I just received this Thyme & Table Acacia Wood Mortar and Pestle, and it is excellently, and beautifully made, and there are no mars in the wood. The pestle is a practical size and it fits nicely in my hand. I just used it to make a small batch of spinach pesto, and it turned out awesome. I love it! I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a Mortar and Pestle.
I received this for my honest opinion from Sparks Reviewer Program. It's a nice medium wood color. Thick & smooth. The bottom of the mortar & top of the pestle is painted. The inside is not painted. The pestle is comfortable to hold while using. The mortar easy to hold onto while you're using the pestle. It's a decent size. Deep not shallow. Very well made & will last a long time. There are zero rough areas. I've used it to crush my dogs pills, fresh, dried herbs & spices. Definitely worth buying & makes cute decor when not in use.
This is my first experience with a mortar and pestle and I am very pleased with my first experience. I tried some dried seeds and it was easy to grind them down. Then I tried fresh parsley. It also was easy. Will be looking for different ways to incorporate this useful kitchen tool in my cooking. It is attractive and nicely made. I recommend it highly.
What a beautiful Mortar & Pestle set! It is absolutely stunning acacia wood. The bowl is simply wonderful itself! It can be used for not just as a mortar & pestle set but as a beautiful dish. The set works great and the color is a bright mint color. I love using this for my herbs!
This mortar took my cooking to a new level. It is big enough to grind in it fresh herb, spice leaves and other goodies. I am so happy with it. It is pretty, sturdy, nicely shaped and the pestle feels strong. I can see myself using it for years to come.
I raise my own herbs, dry them, and usually hand crush them into pieces for jar storage. I found the mortal and pestle is so much easier and is more controllable as to the size of my dried herbs. I can make them as fine as I want or leave some batches larger, depending on my future need and use of certain herbs. The looks are so beautiful that I do not mind leaving on my counter for decoration.
it was great to use one again and to show my Granddaughter the old fashion joy of fresh seasoning and herbs. Wonderful little kitchen aide. We decided to grow our window garden now!!
Thyme & Table Acacia Wood Mortar and Pestle is beautiful. I received the gray with acacia wood color. It arrived in good time, and packaged well. The mortar and pestle from first glance has a beautiful acacia wood that is solid and quality. I was able to wash it in soap and water and it still maintained its beauty. On grinding dry herbs I was able to get them to powdered form with no problem, it performed well. This mortar and pestle is something I can see passing down to a family member in the future it's that nice. If you are looking for a mortar and pestle that is great performing and nice to look at, then this is the one! I highly recommend this item.
I received the Mortar and Pestle and I have to say that I am happy with the product. I really love the colors, the texture and how sturdy it is. My only complain is that I wish that the stick was a little longer. The stick is a little short for my standards. However, I am still able to use it and I really love it. I have used it for a few things already and it is a kitchen staple. It is also very modern. It is a very durable product and I highly recommend it if you are looking for one.
I wanted to always buy one of these and never did so I was lucky to be able to pick this as a Sparksreviewer. The set I have is a Thyme & Table Acacia Wood Mortar and Pestle in the color Gray and Wood as you'll see by the pictures I post the bottom, is gray and is like a hard plastic and yet feels like a hard rubber to. This is made for crushing and grinding usually for herbs and spices. I find this has a lot of uses like you could use to make baby food crushing bananas, pineapples, cherries etc. and also you could crush your medications if needed. It's a little bigger than what I thought it would be and the only draw back is that it kind of moves around my counter if I don't hold the bowl but, a quick fix is put a damp paper towel under the bowl and it helps it to keep from sliding around. This is made to be hand washed with light soap and warm water, towel dry. Not for use in a microwave or a dishwasher.
