I really like this ladle with the measurements labeled inside so that you know exactly how much liquid you are ladling out. It is heat resistant up to 428 degrees and gentle to all cookware and bakeware. I like that it is lightweight and top rack dishwasher safe.
This ladle is lightweight enough that it doesn't flip out of the pan (you know what I mean).But it conforms its shape to the side of the pan so you can scoop up a hefty amount of stew, etc. It has a perfect sized scooping bowl for soups and stews, AND it has this softness/ flexibility about it which makes it perfect for really scraping the last of the soup/stew out of the pot without making horrible noises. YET it is sturdy! it is some amazing combination of sturdy and flexible. Silicone is heat resistant, comfortable to hold, and is colorful. This gets the bottom and sides of the pot stirred properly. It is soft and and for me is easier to use than the rigid scoops. Important to start stirring soon for liquids that thicken in the cooking. Love the color. Five stars.
I love the Thyme and Table brand. You can get quality products at an affordable price! This beautiful silicone Ladle is really nice. It has measurements on the inside of it and it's flexible. This comes in handy for soups and stews and pasta dishes. It can even be used for beverages like a punch bowl. This cleans easily and can withstand temperatures over 400°F. Very nice addition to have in the kitchen. I recommend.
When I first got this ladle I wasn't sure if I would use it much but I find myself using it all the time. First of all I love that it's silicone so it's heat proof, won't scratch non stick pans and nothing sticks to it making it so easy to clean. It's got a nice long handle with a comfortable grip that never gets hot and a large deep scoop that is perfect for stews, soups, chili & gravy. One of the features I really enjoy is it has pour spouts and measuring marks in the ladle so if you're making custard or pudding you can put the exact amount in each ramekin without drips. I also use it all the time to measure cupcake & muffin batter to pour into muffin tins without making a mess. I reach for this handy Thyme & Table Silicone Ladle all the time and it's become one of the handiest utensils I have in my kitchen that I would never want to do without.
My review of the Thyme & Table Silicone Ladle. So I got this ladle because I have about four other ladles that just don't cut it. Either they are too big or stiff. Or they are too flimsy and do not hold up well to heat. The one I have that is too big can handle a large volume when the pot or bowl is large but not so good when the bowl or pot is smaller. I like the silicone because it will not scratch my non-stick pots. It is small enough that it can be used through out the entire cooking process and move on to be used in the serving as well. I like the long handle so that it will not slide back down into the pot or bowl when left to sit in the pot or bowl. The silicone bowl on the ladle is flexible enough that it will get that last little bit from the bowl when serving. The quality of the Thyme & Table Silicone Ladle is very high and has held up nicely, so far. No weird smells coming from the silicone or warping from the heat. I would recommend the Thyme & Table Silicone Ladle.
This is very well made and it’s silicone. It’s a plus being non stick so it doesn’t scratch my cookware . I like how it’s easy to handle with my arthritis in my hands . It’s very attractive being blue matches things in my kitchen as well . I believe this well last for many years also as it’s well made and durable . I would recommend this product to anyone who does a lot cooking . You will Like I do absolutely love it .
Simple little kitchen gadgets are not something that most of us put much thought into, right? I mean a ladle is a ladle. That is, unless you are Thyme and Table, because apparently they put a lot of thought into their kitchen ware. This ladle, for example, is different from any other I have seen. It's made of silicone...soft silicone rubber. Why? Well several reasons. First and foremost, because it is soft and flexible, it won't harm your cookware. Repeated use of a metal ladle will scratch non-stick surfaces, and even cause wear on the bottom of a pot. Not this one though, it's soft and won't scratch. Silicone is also heat resistant; up to over 400 degrees. ( but don't use it over an open flame please.) The handle will stay at a comfortable temp, even if the bowl is submerged in very hot soup or whatever. Silicone is also stain resistant, it won't discolor like some other plastics. So maybe you should put a little thought into your kitchen gadgets too and pick up one of these the next time you are in Walmart, you will like it as much as I do!
I've always thought that my half cup size stainless steel ladle was too small, so I was glad to try this large one. The capacity is a full cup, so you need less scoops to fill up a soup bowl, and the silicone means that it won't get too hot to touch. Unfortunately the larger silicone size also has its drawbacks. It's bulky and difficult to fit into my utensil drawer. Also, the silicone is very thick so it feels clunky to use. I was sure the soup would spill, but it actually poured well even into a small bowl. The rim has 2 small pouring spouts to control pouring and the inside of the scoop has measurements so you know how much you are scooping. Overall not a bad choice, but I still prefer my half cup stainless steel ladle.
This Ladle is perfect for both thick and thin soup. Not even a very thick Spinach & Artichke Dip sticks to the ladle. It also has a measure cup marking (see photo) on the ladle making a divided portion easier. As it's a silicone, it's easy to clean. As instruction said, it's heat safe up to 428 F. So, I won't use it in a hot oil for sure. I take one star out because the color seems a bit on a dark side and not very pretty.
The Thyme & Table Silicone Ladle is an appealing, modern teal color. The ladle itself is substantial in size. The size is perfect for large pots of stews and soups. I was unsure of this ladle being silicone since I had not yet tried cooking utensils made of this material. I was worried the food would stick to it or it wouldn't wash well. Both of my worries were wrong. In fact, it washes really well and functions well with thick sticky soups. An added bonus is that it is comfortable to use since the silicone is soft on hands. The ladle has some nice features such as being deep for a one cup scoop, lines for measuring different cups, and slight curves on each side for easy directed pouring of liquids. If I had to choose a few things I didn’t like about this ladle it is that it does not fit in my kitchen drawer. I do have older kitchen drawers so this may not be an issue for newer kitchens. It can, however, be hung up on a hook as it has a hole at the top of the handle for doing so. Also, the handle is a good length but for a one cup scoop it seems like the handle should be a tad longer to me so it can make it to the bottom of large soup pots without losing too much handle in the process.
