This is such a nice grater, and it works very well. I love that it has a container that fits on the bottom and catches everything you grated. That container can also be used for storage as it has a lid that snaps on the top. Definitely worth having in your kitchen!
I guess I'm easily amused, because I think this box grater is so neat! It grates cheese and shreds vegetables as I would expect, but the detachable storage container makes this product a home-run. All of the pieces are top rack dishwasher safe, so that helps make cleaning up a breeze. The handle is nicely rounded, so when grating for a longer period of time, holding the grater doesn't become uncomfortable. The plastic around the edges is a nice feature. Not only is it a pretty color, but it serves a purpose because I haven't noticed any signs of rust (my other graters that are 100% stainless steel have rusted at the bottoms where the edges meet).
Finally! A grater that will not rust! Not only made of stainless, rust proof steel, but so very comfortable to use! The "Thyme & Table Stainless Steel Four Sided Box Grater, 2 Piece Set" although indicated as "2 Piece Set", is actually a "3 piece set"! There is the grater, plus a bowl with its lid! The "Thyme & Table Stainless Steel Four Sided Box Grater, 2 Piece Set" is everything a grater should be! It has a very comfortable cylindrical handle on top. A bowl that fits perfectly under the grater to catch all the gratings, and has a lid for storing the gratings! Also, the top, and bottom edges of the grater are lined with silicone! A great idea to keep the grater from sliding! Plus, the "Thyme & Table Stainless Steel Four Sided Box Grater, 2 Piece Set" is not made with those prickly sharp grates that tear the skin with just the lightest touch!!! That alone, is a big "WOW!!!" Added to all the above advantages, the "Thyme & Table Stainless Steel Four Sided Box Grater, 2 Piece Set" has a side for fine gratings, a side for medium gratings, a side for coarse gratings, and a side for slices! The "Thyme & Table Stainless Steel Four Sided Box Grater, 2 Piece Set" is "THE GRATER" every kitchen should have!!! Love, LOVE, LOOOVE my "Thyme & Table Stainless Steel Four Sided Box Grater, 2 Piece Set"!!!
This is the best grater I have ever owned. Thyme & Table stainless steel four sided box grater works great. It is the perfect size, easy to use, and easy to clean. The handle is easy to hold on to and the color is pretty. We use it a lot and it has really held up. One of my favorite things about it is the bowl that comes with it. The bowl attaches to the bottom so the cheese or whatever you are shredding falls into it and then the bowl has a lid. It's a great set and I highly recommend it.
Hands down, this is the best box grater that I have ever owned. This product is made of a quality stainless steel, and it is also dishwasher safe. I love that this grater has 3 sides that will grate fine, medium, or coarse. The other side is a slicer and will slice potatoes that are perfect for homemade chips. This grater comes with a container that attaches to the bottom, allowing your freshly sliced food to go directly into a container, just remove and place the lid to the container on to store your food. A great addition to my kitchen utensils!
I've used the grater to grate fresh ginger and cheddar cheese. The container is nice to catch the grated foods. I was not really impressed with the slicer. I wanted some sliced cheese that would be the same size (about 3x3”) as the block of cheese but it only did about 1” slices. I was still able to use the smaller slices. The included container stores easily inside the grater. The lid makes it easy to save the cheese or whatever you grated, in the refrigerator for later. Very sturdy feeling.
This thing is the bomb!! Top notch quality!! Excellent material and so easy to use! This not only looks sharp but so functional! It has 4 different cutting styles and a little rubber lid that attaches to the bottom after grating your cheese to keep fresh!! Genious!! Great cutting/grating blades. This is a must have for every kitchen!!
What makes this cheese grater better than the others is the attachment. The cheese container attachment seals tight and connects to the grater. It also comes with a tight lid for if you need to store cheese in the fridge for later. The cheese grater works as you would expect it to but I love how the container attachment catches all of the cheese! This means no messy countertops or cheese flying everywhere. This is so nice to have in the kitchen!
I think this cheese grater is decent, definitely better then my dollar store grater. The grater has a little storage type container you hook on the bottom so when you grate cheese it falls into the container, however the container doesnt stay attached very well so it falls off also the lid for the little storage container doesnt stay on. The grater has a few different sizes to grate the cheese or even a zucchini or potato which is great. It doesn't grate soft cheeses very well. It is a bit hard to clean out all the cheeses from the inside. I like the look of it and I do use it often.
My rating is 2 1/2 STARS. The grater is great, the container fits nice and snug onto the grater; the downfall is the container top, it doesn't fit snuggly on the container. I prepped/grated cheese 2 days before use and stored it in the container, when I took it out the refrigerator and opened it the inside lid had water beads and the cheese was moist/wet. The container lid needs more of a seal around the edges, it's loose fitting; I did a lift test after discovering this, I lifted the empty container by the lid and it came off without a problem. Having moist/wet cheese will mess up a dish. I had high hopes for this grater but got moist/wet cheese instead.
