I used to use the regular Tiki Flame torch fuel, but it was hard to enjoy the patio at night because of mosquitoes. Since trying the Tiki Flame Bitefighter torch fuel, we've noticed a significant decrease in the amount of bugs at night and there have been no more mosquito bites! But the best part is the flame still looks amazing and lasts for hours. You've got to try the Bitefighter torch fuel!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We entertain year round on our back deck a lot. So any help with mosquitoes is a necessity in 3 seasons of the year, especially here in North Carolina. We have used Tiki brand torch fuel for years as it never disappoints. This is the first time we have used 'BiteFighter' and it proved another wonderful product from Tiki. It was easy to use, has a light scent and kept almost all the bugs at bay. We use 4 torches to form a perimeter around the deck and this fuel is a great value for the amount of time it lasts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We definitely have mosquito issues in our area. It really inhibits our outdoor time. I used the BiteFighter Torch Fuel for the first time and am so happy with it. We have used the citronella fuel in the past and this worked even better at keeping those pesky biters away. BiteFighter is Citronella and Cedar torch fuel so I wasn't sure if the cedar would change the scent that we're used to smelling when we burn our torches. There was no noticeable smell when pouring or when burning. The bottle is easy to hold and easy to pour. No more filling spills! The flame is pretty with no soot. I love Tiki brand products and this is another great one.
It really works to keep bugs away. I always get bitten by Mosquitoes in this seems to really keep them at bay. It does pour out quickly so I would suggest pouring into another container prior to putting it into your actual torch.
Bug free in the evening thanks to the Bitefighter fuel!

My husband and I just bought a house and the first thing we did was buy items for the back yard which was tiki torches and this Bitefighter Torch fuel. This fuel keeps torches lit for hours and keeps the bugs away while we enjoy our evenings sitting out around the firepit having cocktails or just having conversation with friends and family This feul is the only one we'll buy.
I bought this product today while doing some other shopping and used it tonight while sitting on the deck. I am constantly getting ate by bugs and this seemed to keep them away. We love spending time on our deck and so do the mosquitoes. The tiki lamps create a nice atmosphere and the fuel keeps the bugs away. The fuel also lasts a good while.
Buy the mainstays brand. It doesn't leave a white cloud of smoke. I feel like I'm at a wiz Khalifa concert on my porch. Please check out my pics! Also creates strings of black ash. If they have the mainstays in stock near you GET IT. There is no difference but $4.
