I bought this from Walmart years ago after i figured out that I could very easily scorch and completely ruin my work suits with an iron, but steaming was easy. I use it to steam blouses (even delicates), dresses, skirts, pants, suits, ribbons and it works great..and fast. I do use tongs (like for a grill) when trying to hold little things needing steaming to avoid steam burns on my fingers. For those that say it lost steam, just try running mix of 1 cup white vinegar + 1 cup water through it like you do regular water, then run 2 more tanks of water (to get vinegar smell to go away), and it will clean out the mineral deposits (that look like sand or little rocks) that cause the lack of steam (this happens in any steaming device...not just this one), and it will steam great again. The user's manuel tells you to do this. BTW, I have only used distilled water but still get the mineral deposits for some reason so I think the distilled water in jugs at store may not really be good enough to prevent this problem.

I bought my Tobi Steamer 4 years ago & LOVE IT!!!!

I bought my Tobi in January 2009 when I saw an info-commercial on TV for it. I paid $200 for it. It was well worth the money and heats up so fast! In 30 seconds I am steaming my outfit! It steams over buttons and works very well. The closest way to get clothes looking professional without spending money on drycleaning / ironing. The only difference I see with mine & the one Walmart is selling is my hose is metal & now it is a black plastic. The White plastic arm you hang the shirt/pant hanger on when you are steaming raises & lowers to your comfortable height.

couldn't live without my Tobi steamer

I bought this steamer to replace a Conair that died after 1 year. I've had my Tobi over 3 years and love it. It does everything the Conair did, plus it is easier to fill. If you want sharp creases in your slacks, no steamer will do the job like a steam iron & ironing board. I also use a kitchen tongs to hold the fabric so the steam head doesn't get too close to my skin. To do sleeves, I put the steamer head inside the sleeve, hold the cuff up (with the tongs) above the item, & work down toward the shoulder. Takes about 10-15 seconds. My steamer lives in my laundry room right next to my dryer - I take the clothes out, hang them on my rolling clothes rack, and touch up with the steamer if necessary (which is more likely if I've been lazy and let them lay in the dryer). I also love it for freshening things that aren't really soiled or seasonal things that have been in storage.

Good amount of steam & removes the wrinkles.

I was excited to get this in hopes that I could do away with my ironing or spritzing clothes and putting them in the dryer to dewrinkle. It does have good steam output, but the hanging pole is so short it hurts my back to bend over to do the bottom of shirts or jeans/pants. I had to hang things over the bedroom door to avoid having to bend down to steam the bottoms. I think I will set it up in a permanent spot in the laundry room on a table so it will eliminate the bending over. Other than that it works great on removing wrinkles and that part I like about it.

We use this product on business suits. The learning video helped teach me to use the machine and was easy to follow. Was hoping it would remove the wrinkles faster and better, sometimes several passes have to be made. Is definitly easier to use than an iron. Should come with more attachments, including ways to stretch out the sleeves of clothing to get better results.

It leaked everywhere!!!! it was a mess....I had to return it after one day. The cord isn't long enough and it really didn't take out any wrinkles at all just made the material damp. It was a terrible product and way overpriced!!!!

I was really disappointed in this product. The ads on TV made it look so fast and easy. It was very awkward to use. It also left little water spots on my cotton shirts. It took longer than regular ironing to do my pants for work. It never seemed to completely remove the wrinkles, and sometimes it would steam new wrinkles into the fabric if it wasn't stretched perfectly flat. In order to steam all the way down to the hem of the garment, the steam would always burn my fingers. I bought one for my son too, and I'm returning both. :(

Horrible product. Lasted a little over a year. At the end it lost its steam power and the warranty had expired. TOBI Company (not WalMart) offered to replace it only if bought another unit, so I would end up with two poor performer units in the long run. Do not waste your money. Replaced it with a Conair bought at WalMart and so far is a better unit for 1/2 the price and it has lasted over a year.
