This is a great product for parents of toddlers that won't stay in their crib. I have twin boys and bought 2 of these when they started climbing out of their cribs. The endless "putting them back in bed" didn't work and was very stressful. At least with these crib tents I can relax and know that they are safe in their beds. They are very durable as well, as I have caught them climbing on the outside of the tent. lol I would definitely recommend!
I have a Houdini baby girl (2yr) who was up partying (coloring on walls and getting into the pantry for snacks) during the night after everyone went to bed. It did take her 3 nights to figure out how to undo the velcro and therefore undo the zipper. We just attached a longer shoestring to the zipper which now attaches to the velcro on the side instead of the part she can reach. It was EASY to put together and I'm embarrassed that I left it for a few days waiting for my husband to do it! It's been SO nice to have her get out of bed when someone is able to watch her and not have her unbolting the front door, leaving the house, partying all night, etc. Is there a teen version?!??! I've got teens too!
I got this as a deterrent for my 2year old. When I was pregnant she liked climbing back into her crib rather than her big girl bed. We were worried about her accidentally hurting herself or the baby. This tent was easy to assemble and seems sturdy enough. It didn't fit our crib very well( we have a sleigh type crib) BUT we were able to secure it well enough. It has done a great job of keepign the two year old and her toys out of the crib!!
At 2.5, my previously easy daughter Maggie began climbing out of her crib at bedtime at lying by her bedroom door, screaming bloody murder for up to 3 hours. Nothing we tried would help. After three weeks of this "phase" not passing, and my husband about to travel for a week, I caved in and bought this. I felt like if she were in her crib, she was so exhausted, she would just have to fall asleep. Hallelujah, it worked. The first night, she cried about 20 minutes then - blessed silence. Now, she only fusses 5-10 minutes. The bonus is she is also sleeping in about an hour later in the morning. The product took the two of us about 10 minutes to assemble, and it is very sturdy. It has been a lifesaver.
When my 19 month old Grandson started climbing out of his crib at all hours of the night we needed a dependable way to keep him safe. The crib tent works great and did not upset or scare him. Thank You for great product.
I found this product very durable. My crib for my son is one in which the back is higher than the front and on one side has a changing table attached so I was not sure this was going to work, but it did work you just need to set it up a little slanted but the velcro is strong enough that the little bugger can not get out any longer.
So, I read all the reviews on this product and the Cozy Tent II on many different retail sites. I was worried because some of them weren't so great. But I don't know what they were talking about, this thing is fabulous! My 20 month old daughter was launching herself out of her crib and learned to open doors all on the same night! We took the side off her crib as a solution. She was in our room 5 or 6 times a night and bedtime took up to 3 hours some nights. And forget about naps. We heard about this product and even though I read some negative reviews I decided to give it a try. I didn't need the netting around the whole crib, so the original style was better. We have a sleigh crib and it fit perfectly. It was easy to put on, it took us much longer to put the side back on the crib than the tent on! And she loves it. We let her play with it on the floor before we put it on the crib. She even reminds me to zip it up when she goes to sleep. The material is very strong, we have had it on for a few weeks and it still looks brand new. I think it has given her back her sense of personal space for sleeping because when she knew she could get out, what toddler wouldn't want to? We have slept great since and it was worth every penny.
I bought this for our baby who wont be here till November but we have cats and i dont want them getting into the crib. It doesnt fit my crib so we had to make it fit. My cats have been all over it and its been holding up pretty well.
I am a mom of a 2 year old with autism. He doesnt speak and is not ready to be potty trained and for his safety is still in a crib. He loves to climb and figured out how to climb out. We were fortunate he didn't hurt himself and searched online for a solution. We found this product and it has worked out great. We thought he might be scared of being enclosed but he actually likes it. It's like his little cocoon. It was a bit difficult to put together as I did it by myself as my husband watched the kids so get help if you can. He has a sleigh crib with a wide back so not all velcro pieces reached but I was able to secure it tight enough. Also one of the poles punctured through an end but I didn't have it placed correctly either. Overall I couldn't be happier knowing my son is safe when I have to go shower and don't worry that he'll wake up and climb out.
I had to take back my first tent becauzse the zipper didn't work. The second tent ripped at the seams within the first month. If you have an infant they will push and pull on the tent and it rips far too easily. I have had to sew mine back together about 5 times now. For the price you would think they would make it more sturdy. It is too bad because it worked well for about a month. You would think that for the price they would put more care into making it last longer than a month. Think twice!!!
