I have struggled with other postal scales for years. This one finally fits the bill. Measurements are accurate to the tenth of an ounce and it is easy to use. It is so nice to have the accuracy needed and it matches up perfectly on weight with scales at the post office.
Mine came in off-white. I've compared the features of this scale to others and it's a great deal! The 10 lb capacity is something that's hard to find in that price point. It's accurate down to the 10th of an ounce. I use it to weigh items before I sell them on eBay. Shipping was fast and I received the item on time.
Nice scale. Light beige color. Lightweight and small size (5.5 x 8 x 2.5"). Weighs items up to 10 pounds and includes ounces in weight display. It includes a tare option, which provides weight for a container or otherwise. Does not have a plug for wall socket; uses one nine volt battery (not included). Has USB cable included. Can use an AC adapter (not included).
Got the scale about a week ago and so far it seems work just fine. Even checked the acccuracy of it against the post office. They agreed with the readings I got. Was priced the best too of those that I had checked out. Also, easy set up - no compatability problems with my computer.
It's a 10 pound scale but it only works up to about 9.74 pounds. After that it goes blank. Great quality and works flawlessly. Print postage with a free account on the USPS website and save money on every package. No more standing in line at the post office and you save the cost of the scale after about 15-20 packages. How can you beat it?
I shopped around for a scale at Office Depot and Office Max. They were way over priced and did not have the maximum weight I was looking for. The ones they had would weigh 5lbs at the most and were expensive. The scales that would hold more were $100 plus, which was way beyond my budget. I got home went to Walmart online and there was a scale with the 10lb. capacity at a great valued price. Also, how could I go wrong it's a USPS scale. Easy to use! You can use it with AA batteries or with the USB cable. I wish it would have brought DC plug cable so I can connect to the outlet, but for the price I wasn't going to complain. It weighs accurately. I'm very happy with my scale. Highly recommend this one.
I purchased this small scale for shipping for my small business. I love that it can run on batteries and doesn't have to be hooked up to the computer but at the same time you can hook it up directly to you computer. Just keep in mind, depending on what you are using it for, that you look into postage sites ahead of time because most have yearly/monthly fees which I was a little disappointed about.
I was not expecting a substitute product. The item shown online is NOT the item I was sent. This is very disappointing. Since I did receive a working scale and had immediate need for it after waiting several days for shipment I did keep it but I am very wary about buying from walmart.com again.
A 9 volt battery would not connect. The connections were never tested and one was tight and the other lose. My husband tried and I tried. Even when we thought we had it there was no connection to turn on the machine. Unhappy, but feel it is a pain to return.
I really need a scale to run my online business. I was hoping this one would fit those needs. The day I got it I plugged it in my computer and it worked fine with USPS, installed the software etc., I was so happy. Next time I tried to use it, it would not work with the Post Office site. Called their customer service they tried everything to get it to work properly. It's evidently an electronic problem with the scale. Very disappointed. I am going to return it.
