First of all this is a somewhat cheap phone -- having little more than calendar, calculator and speakerphone. Having said that, the signal is much better than I got on my Motorola W175G and LG 840G. Used to be I had to go outside to use cellular, but now there are regions inside the house I can telephone. Unlike earlier bar phones I can lock the keyboard so it doesn't dial itself. Voice quality is just average, but battery life is better than similar phones like the LG 440g. Absolutely there are better phones out there, however Tracfone sent me this one free via the unlock exchange. I'm a lot more pleased than I was with my previous mobiles.
The phone that is pictured is NOT the one you will receive! It's the Tracfone ALCATEL one touch A205G that you will be getting. Other than that for the price you can't bet it.
I got this to replace my husbands dying flip phone. He has to have a phone that doesn't have a lot of stuff on it. This was perfect.

the only bad thing about this phone is the battery life. You have to keep chargeing it all the time. It will reach out better then some of the other better phones, which made me laugh when that happens.
Phone makes good calls and has a very good signal strength, however the battery life is very short. Also has very sensitive keys. It often turns on and dials if kept in you pocket or purse. Got tired of the unwanted dialing and switch to a flip phone.
The ALCATEL A205G Smartphone shown in the Walmart web site is not the phone you receive. And it's a regular flip phone and hardly a "Smart Phone". But you don't get it anyways. You receive the ALCATEL A205G ONETOUCH. It's as good a phone as the one advertised but has less features. It makes and receives calls pretty good. Hey, what do you want for less than $10? But Walmart should change the site to the correct phone.
I ordered this phone for pick-up in the store. I get to the store only to find the flip phone pictured is not the phone you get. Walmart needs to check their pictures when adding a item to their inventory.
I had to replace my 2g tracfone with a 3g which I was supposed to get for free. That never happened so I purchased the above referenced replacement. I now have little to no service where I had great service before. The battery has to be charged almost daily due to it roaming where it never roamed before. Now I can't change the time with daylight saving. I read the manual but it doesn't match what's on my phone. What a waste of money...
