I purchased the phone for my 83 year old mother. The phone is easy to navigate and the calls are very clear. She even sends out texts.
Overall, a very good phone, considering it's just under $30. But, the memory is very limited and it's either games or music. I'm a student at snow college this year and the call and text work great, although the auto correct is a pain this the size of the screen. If you plan on watching a lot of Youtube, the graphics are great, but it will stop to load about every ten to twenty seconds to load if you're viewing music videos, but it doesn't have such a rough time with other videos for some reason. It's big enough to be a smartphone, but not so huge and thin that, like with the LG G3, I'm not scared I'll snap it in half if I accidentally sit on it. It's a surprisingly sturdy phone as well. I'm a bit of a butterfingers and have dropped it several times on varying surface types and it still shows no signs of damage. It's light, tough, easy to use, simple, and well functioning; not to mention possibly the cheapest smartphone on the market. A great all around talk, text and email phone.
Works well. Wish it had more Memory but otherwise it is good.
Its a good little phone for cheap any cheaper you would get a flip phone. I wish I would of known that the screen doesnt rotate but other than that the only other problem I have is the volume is too quiet for my personal preference.
here are the drawbacks. you will need a stylus for the small keyboard. you will also need to purchase 1gb cards from tracfone to use internet access as the 90 day card has small amount of data for internet transfer. if you only want occasional internet access, no media storage and using phone for lyft, the value is fair.
I had bought another smart phone that was GSM technology that wouldn't work inside buildings, so after some research I found this CDMA phone that would work.
Pretty good for an inexpensive phone...
it works fine for a phone, but the touch screen may not respond all the time. battery life is not great. would recommend a car charger for it. apps do run slow depending on service or wifi. for the price what do you expect.
OK first off the screen DOES NOT rotate... So if you have average fingers be prepared to constantly retype , type and retype IT gets so annoying.. I had the blue tooth turned on and it has a gray area on the bottom of the screen that says MY account is not allowing the blue tooth function ... Even though it is ON!!! It does not take suitable photos EVEN for a phone... they are all very dark and horrible... I am so not impressed with this device it has way to many issues.. I am read to take it back and try another. No not another Alcatel ..But another brand of phone// I know it was not top of the line.. But it is top of the trash heap for me . I am bringing it back this phone has got to go... Maybe its defective I don't know.. ALso the entire phone is made of very thin plastic.. I am certain if I drop it 1 time its toast...
My HTC crapped out on me, and im not eligible for an update so i just mosied on to walmart to purchase a quick fix.....boought the first one at 5 pm.....never turned on....returned it and just got replacement...turned on....worked great. 2 hours later, it dies, and wont turn on......going for a third one (second exchange) in the morning....
