The "antique-like" wooden handle looks nice in the photo but what I received was a drab, plastic-handled drill; very disappointing. Also, the box it came in was completely crushed; very strange.
The packaging looked old and battered like it was sitting in the warehouse forever (and it probably was). Anyway the product was new and unused and about the quality I'd expect for the price.
I tried it out and it just unscrewed and didn't keep the drill bit in straight. I was unable to drill a whole unless the bit was small and the handle would come off. The basic gear system is solid, just the handle is cheap that causes it to fail.
This hand drill will work but a little disappointed that the collet doesn't hold the drill bits straight. This was a birthday gift for my Grandson and he was a little perplexed because the drill bit would come loose after about 6 revolutions of the collet. Poorly constructed, I guess.
The wooden handles pictured are not part of the product, they are a black, hollow plastic. The teeth of the collet don't even line up together. Don't waste your money! It's unusable.
