Delivery time was exceptional - 1 day. I ordered this for my dad - he lives alone and has had a total hip replacement. He loves it, he doesn't have to bend for the dustpan - just makes his life a whole lot easier.
I normally don't do product reviews but I loved this product so much, I just had to let everyone know about it. I have spent so much money on expensive vacuums (handhelds and uprights) for my pet hair issue and who would have thought this product would be the answer. I am a neat freak and I have two extremely fluffy cats. Their hair blows across my wood floors like tumbleweeds. I bought this product to pick up the loose cat litter and hair. It did such a great job I tried it on my little rugs and upholstered ottomans. It picked the hair up better than my regular vacuums! For the next model I would change three major things though; sometimes you have to clear the bristles of hair but that's only in extreme cases. Also I would extend the life of the rechargeable battery and make the filter reusable. Just a note, you have to empty the container more frequently when picking up pet hair but I think it's well worth it!!
This product has been great for me and my tile floors. It was a little heavy to get used to at first,but I love it now. It works great picking up all the cat liter my cats make, as well as normal dirt. I don't know how I coulg go back to a normal broom!
I have cats and their hair gets in places you can't see. This broom gets the hair great. Not for big cleaning jobs but still does what it is expected.
This battery operated broom is lightweight, convenient to use since it runs without having to plug into power, and does a very good job of cleaning. Cleans easily. The only downside - there is no indicator to show how fully charged it is or when it is finished charging - thus you might have to leave the transformer plugged in all the time, which is an energy drain. I have been charging mine and leaving it unplugged for several days, but there is no way to know when the charge is about to run out.
I am not sure if some of the other reviews that rated this low were due to lack of initial charging. I have had no problems with this thing wearing down (and I vacuum as I sweep very large areas). The broom MUST be charged uninterupted for at least 24 hours prior to first use. I no longer have to worry about the kids or dog running through the dirt piles before I get the dust pan out. If I get interupted from cleaning, I can just pick up where I left off. Power has been great; pick-up ability and physical quality has been great. I can even use it on my entry hall carpets. The absolute only negative I have on this is that it can be hard to get in the kitchen corners that have a cabinet overhang. That's it. Works great for me!
I couldn't find this product in any stores close to my home so I was glad to find it at such a bargain online. We have real hard wood floors and 2 children and this broom helps me clean up all the acidents quickly and even gets into the cracks in the wood. It has picked up spilled cereal, sugar, and dried mud easily. It is a little heavier than I expected so it is difficult to use on the entire house. Great for small clean ups but it's still faster and easier to use a regular broom for the large areas.
I got this product for a birthday present. I took it back the next day, because it did not pick up cat litter, nor did it pick up dinner crumbs from my kids messes under the table! I like my Black and decker better, and the hair on the bathroom floor gets stuck to the bristles just like any other broom.
This product looked sleek and that was where the benefits ended. Took this item home to charge it up. The next day tried to "sweep". Left more on the floor than my standard broom and dustpan setup. When I went to grab the handle the top part split into a big crack. Could not get back to the store fast enough for my refund. This is a product that requires much more research and developement before the next release.
What a horrible product! It had obviously been in the warehouse for years because the package was extremely dusty. The battery would not charge. I returned it.
