I have occasional heartburn and really benefited from these. I had tried thrn in the past and wasmt too fond of them and so glad I tried them again. The mint flavor is very refreshing and they aren't as chalkly as they used to be in my opinion. I just had to chew 2 and my discomfort went away! The flip top is very convenient and stays closed which I like. I am so glad I gave these another go and will be keeping my medicine cabinet stocked! Calcium Carbonate Tums Antacid Mint, regular strength 500 works like a charm. They definitely settle indigestion. The mint flavor not overly powering, it's however lightly flavored. The mint cooled my throat and coated my esophagus and got rid of my heartburn. It easily dissolves, which makes it cool all of the way down I took a couple of these after eating some spicy food. This product is not only fast acting but also very effective. It is great for the occasional heartburn associated with food. It comes in a thin chewable wafer in a nice mint flavor. I really like the aftertaste of the mint. It is very soothing to your stomach and helps with ingestion. It is also a great source of calcium. It can be used as a calcium supplement. The only thing that I did not particularly like was the texture. It has a very chalky texture, which I dislike. However, it works so quicky that I can overlook the texture of the product. I had the opportunity to try Tums Regular Strength Mint chewables, and I have to say the product does it's job. I'm a big coffee drinker, and sometimes have issues with acid indigestion. I've tried other brands of Antacid products in the past that didn't work nearly as quickly as these Tums. I feel that the minty flavor added a cooling aspect as they were digesting, but it wasn't an overpowering flavor like others I've tried. Within about 5 minutes, I was already feeling relief with the Tums. I also have to mention the packaging is super convenient for traveling in my purse. It's not too big or bulky. I have had issues with acid reflux for many years and have to take Nexium daily because of it. Sometimes, the Nexium does not fully work and I need something to give me relief fast. These regular strength peppermint TUMS did the trick. I first took 2 of them to see if it would help. I waited and I still had slight heartburn so I took 2 more. I think I had to take 4 total because these are only regular strength. I am interested to try the maximum strength TUMS to see if I am able to take less than 4. Overall, I am very happy with TUMS. The peppermint flavor is great. I liked it more than the fruity flavors that are also offered by TUMS. This is the first time I've tried the TUMS Regular Strength Peppermint Antacids. They do work as described, chewing 2-4 tablets when I had heartburn. I was not a fan of the peppermint taste or texture while chewing, or swallowing the tablets. Tablet texture is like chalk while being peppermint flavored. Taste is a subjective thing, and I prefer something more citrus-like to mask the chalkiness. I've had Tropical flavored antacid tablets in the past, and much prefer their taste.
