All my kids love this! My son received it as a present last year. As soon as my husband put it up all the kids were in his room watching it! It wasn't hard to put together, and well worth it!
Santa brought the solar system mobile for our 6 year old daughter. She loves it. Putting together was simple enough and hanging wasn't too bad either. Her and her little sister (4yrs) love to go in her room to turn off the lights and watch together...they say they're camping under the stars! Too cute!
It was smaller than expected and the sun barely lights up was hoping for more light. But my grandson loves it.
While I am a HUGE fan of this company's "Moon in My Room," this solar system was disappointing. First, the sun barely lights up at all...lower than a nightlight (even with brand new batteries). Second, when installing the planet wires, one didn't insert correctly so it wouldn't stay in the hole. I used the slightest bit of krazy glue to keep it in place, and now the whole thing won't spin like it's supposed to. I don't see how my glue would be related to the spinning mechanism at all, so all in all this is a waste of money.
I purchased this item for my classroom. It did not work because the planets that hang from the metal wires hit each other and knock each other off! The light would not come on either. My students would have love it - if it had worked...
