I love this grill. I've owned mine for 2 yrs. Yes it's pretty broken down (lots of screws) but single mom here & it took me 2 hrs to assemble due to me going back & forth from the garage to the house checking on my son. I like the how you can lower or raise the charcoals (bonus). I'm actually thinking of purchasing another one before it's model is discontinued to have for "future" grillin, it's a great price too. I would suggest purchasing a cover.
Hi, I just purchased this grill three days ago, I live in New Jersey and purchased this grill from the Walmart in Linden I must say the salesman that assisted me was excellent, he asembled this grill for me and it was ready in two days. I read all the other reviews that said this grill was garbage that is not true at all, for what it's worth Walmart asembles almost everything if not everything. It cooks excellent I recommend this grill to anyone who has never grill and is looking for a great price and by the way the salesmen that assisted me with this purchase also recommend what brand of charcoal to use that is great for that charcoal taste and it worked out perfectly. Keep hiring excellent sales associates in Linden, New Jersey the seasonal department.
I just love the grill, I did not have to assemble it, the walmart in my area offers free assembly. All I had to do was pay for it and pick it up later. It gives you so much space, I was able to cook everything all at once
I was alittle worried about the assembly from all the comments and know that putting together a grill can be challenging (as I have done it before) but I put it together by myself in about 3 hours while watching tv and socializing on Fourth of July. I started at 2pm and had the charcoal going by 5:30 and everyone was eating less then an hour later. The assembly was not confusing as others suggest, just takes a little common sense and perhaps your own tools instead of the ones they provided you. The adjustable features work great so far and we love the charcoal flavor we get over our old propane grill.
I'm not sure wwhy other people are not as happy as I am. I love putting things together, it did come with many parts though. I thought it was neat how they included the tools, and they work just fine. All in all the grill works great it looks great and I am satisfied.
I bought this grill for a 4th of July picnic. Chose it based on the reviews. Decided to assemble it myself for two reasons. 1) I love a challenge. 2) If it was as complicated as everyone said then I did not want to trust anyone else with assembly. RESULT: assembly DEFINATELY a challenge. I had all the pieces organized on my living room floor but it still took several hours. It was worth it though. Great looking grill. Not too big so it was easy to control the heat. Was nice to be able to control the charcoal pan height with the dial in front. I was worried about plastic parts being exposed to heat but there was no problem at all. Great grill for the money...and I got it on sale!!
This grill is a really good grill and would have received 5 stars if not for the assembly. The assembly was teidious that it took the joy out of having a brand new grill and the joy was replaced by anger and frustration from bending over too long and putting every little tiny screw, nut and bolt together piece by piece. It did not have to be that far broken down but after a couple of breaks and a couple of beers the grill is finally assembled. Its a really nice grill but was just stupid to have it broken down so much. I really do like this grill though.
HI The grill was a good price. Big surface area. Like the other person said, very broken down. Every little piece had to be put together. I am very handy and I am the one who puts everything together that needs assembly. I am a 32 years old 6 months pregnant and put it together in 3 hrs. I just wish that the 2 side tables were not plastic. The only problem I had was securing one of the plastic sides to the grill. It has 3 holes and one of them would not accept the screw so it is only being supported by 2 screws. It is pretty sturdy, while i was putting it together, my 3 yr old and 2 year old stood on the bottom grill and were "helping" by screwing imaginary parts. Comes with screwdriver and wrench. Cant wait to use it today.
This product is nice for the price that you pay. Very difficult to put together. It took us more than 3 hours to put together. The directions were very confusing and that made putting the product together very difficult. I was very frusterated with the assembly of the product but I belive Walmart will assemble the product for free. I was told this after I alread had it home that Walmart provides free assembly to any product that states "Free Assemly Available" on the box. This product states just that I and was very unaware of it. Had I of know of this option before I left the store I would have asked for them to assemble the product for me. Overall I like the grill, very easy to use and to clean.
easily the worst hunk of junk i have ever purchased anywhere.not just speaking of grills but anything.parts were broken before the box was ever opened.the anchors that hold the shelves pop right out making them unuseable.major pain to put together.the tools they give you are a joke.basically save yourself the time of having to return it dont buy it!!!!
