These bookends are the tallest Heavy Gauge I could find at a reasonable price. They are working out great. You can get aprox 16" of 10 1/2" tall HB & SB books before they become stressed and look like they are leaning out. You have to get creative if using on a long book shelf. The backside has a flat support to keep the Bookend upright, so you can't place them back to back w/o that gap. So I place them with the flat supports touching and use this limitied space for a smaller grouping of like books.
About 40 years ago I got some book ends that were being tossed out at my job. I've used them ever since! I was looking for some more to match. Bingo! here they are! Simple, timeless and they work and...last!
This is a basic product. It was quality for what it is. I needed a lot of these to handle a lot of books in my new home office. I had purchased some at an Office store at a MUCH higher price. These are at least as good, if not better than the bookends that I purchased at an Office store. I found these easily online, and they arrived on time ( or early) and they are doing a great job holding up all of the books in the new office space. Because they are so reasonable, I am able to purchase plenty. And when I want a nicer looking bookend in place, I just put it in front of these bookends. That way I get the upscale look where I want it on the shelves, but I don't have to worry about the "fancier" bookends being unable to hold the books. These do the job. They aren't pretty, they don't need to be. They are low profile so they are not very noticeable. Thumbs up.
I purchased 4 pairs as minimum order to check how durable they were for our library. They are a great price for the quality and the bottom is covered vs the photo on item showed only 3 pads. I ended up ordering additional 21 pairs for the library as they were just what the librarians were looking for to keep books upright in shelves.
I bought this over a year ago. It's priced decently and the product was as it was described. The surface coating has not peeled off or faded. The edges are smooth and not sharp. Keeps my books intact. Sturdy enough to keep all my hardbound collection of books. Not to heavy but not too light, just the right weight to keep the books organized. The anti skid material at the bottom of the bookshelf is still intact and haven't fallen off yet. Quality item for the right price.
I used bend metal for years, can't find them now. Could could to a metal shop and get some. But, I gave the internet a chance and up popped a reasonal priced, real steel book end, that was heavier that my plan bendt medal, better for my decoration and heavy enough to hold heavy stuff up.
Simple, elegant, and durable. grips well despite slim.
I ordered the metal book ends. They arrived in two days. They were exactly as depicted. The metal bookends are great for holding books on a computer table.
Just purchased these last month to hold up at least 10 heavy, full binders. They are excellent! Nothing has moved or slipped when taking 1 out. Highly recommend.
purchased these thinking I was ordering twelve bookends total and instead ended up with 12 pairs or 24 bookends. don't know what i'll do with extras i'll have to check in to return policy or donate to local library. wish they would come in other color such as khaki or sand
