I have been searching for this blanket for a very long time and was very happy when I found it. Great price and it is one of the softest blankets I've ever owned.
These Vellux Blankets are the best! No need for lots of heavy uncomfortable blankets.....this is all you need. Washes well and last forever. This is only my second blanket for my bed in 20 years so they do last.
I bought this product because it was recommended for allergy sufferers. It maintains a 'like new' state after many hot washes. I had trouble before removing allergens from blankets but this one came out pretty clean after just one wash despise washing it in an energy-water efficient washer.
This blanket is soooo soft. You just want to roll up into it and sleep the day away! Great for kids to!
It came out of the package with a slight chemical smell, but that washed out easily. It's exactly the color and texture I wanted, it seems very well made, and was less by HALF of the price at other stores.
This is soo relaxing! Has me falling asleep just like a baby again...
recieved the blanket last night. when I took it out of the box it seemed very thin,but what struck me first was the smell. I washed and dried it and it still smelled! I have no doubt that the smell will go away with use, but if your sensitive to synthetic smells this might not be for you. other than that it was very warm with our comforter,without being to Heavy.
While it would be preferable to have separate sizes for king and queen beds--this blanket will reach the floor on queen mattresses--anyone with a minor amount of skill can alter the blanket. Vellux is easy to sew. I cut off 7 inches from either side, then machine hemmed the sides. The advantage is that you end up with a blanket that is a bit wider than a typical queen, eliminating drafts from a too narrow blanket creeping up when actual human beings are trying to sleep.
The blanket I ordered was a king/queen. I have a queen size bed - so of course one would think it would be the size to order. With that said, the blanket which is excellent, is way too big for my queen size bed. It comes all the way to the floor and covers my skirt. Needless to say I am not as satisfied as I intended. In addition, it took a little more than 3 weeks to have the item sent to store and avaliable for pick up. I will never do that again. I will pay the extra 3-5 bucks and have it mailed to my home which is usually in that week! Love the blanket though!!!
