I am from Texas and moved to Wisconsin and was really affected by the difference in lighting. This light box has been a life saver. There were days I couldn't get out of bed and was really fatigued the whole day. I was eating everything in sight and I was moody. I gave it a shot and figured I could just return it if it didn't help. Well, I am happy to say the lightbox is here to stay. I got all of my energy back and have even lost some weight because I am actually out of bed.
Husband barrowed this item from a friend in the winter and took vitamin D also. It snaped him out of a depression...waited for Fathers Day/Birthday and gave it to him, he actually is looking forward to winter this year.

I searched for a SAD lamp and they were very expensive. I found this one and it was very reasonable and very easy to use.
This light is such a great way to get the extra light you need during those gray days and long winter nights. I like that I can use this to help me concentrate and lift my mood during those times I need it. Also great as a supplement light when working on projects.
I got this because no one in my family gets out much right now, we're too busy. It's pre-assembled and Walmart beat the manufacturer price. Full spectrum lights I'm used before have burned out or heated up if left on for a long time but this one doesn't. The only down side is that I'm used to having light come from above so it's strange having it shining side-on to me. I got this to help with winter blues and it seems to be working.
Comes ready to use right out of the box. I use it on the lighter setting everyday while I sit at my computer and I notice that I no longer oversleep and I am less moody. Some days, I feel so good I even forget to turn it on. Great product!
My Verilux light is so nice to have at my desk to help wake me up while I have my coffee and get started on my work for the day. I like the high and low setting - high in the morning and low in the afternoon, when the sun would be dimming. And it helps me to not dwell on the beautiful day I may be missing during my work hours.
I've noticed that the way this product works the best is if I turn it on directly after my alarm goes off, it makes it so that I can't fall back asleep or waver between awake and asleep and that causes more energy durning the day but has me wondering if I should have gotten the sunrise simulator alarm clock. I have noticed a little help in the evenings but mostly in the morning
I am intrigued about my results. Winter and fall affect my mood such as feeling: sluggish, tired, even lethargic. I try to keep a regular sleep pattern for my health, but on those days I just feel slow and not ready to go. I feel energetic in spring and summer, but the other two seasons just seem harder for me. By using the Happy Light therapy system, it has helped me not feel so sluggish. My tiredness is not completely gone, but I feel more alert and less lethargic. The product easily fits on my desk at home, and I use it in the morning and at night. You don't have to use the product in one designated time slot. So, I use in the morning while checking emails, paying bills, and doing computer work. Over the course of the day, my use with the happy light adds up to an hour, which is sufficient for the results I desire. The on/off switch is a little tricky to get use to. When I would try to turn the light off, I would slide it with too much pressure. It would go from Hi setting to Lo setting. The off position is in the middle of the two so it was easily missed. I would recommend this product to anyone who feels they might benefit from light therapy.
