This is my all time favorite bone broth. I like to add turmeric, oregano, black pepper, and sea salt for a hearty broth.
The smell wass absolutely horrid. So horrid that I had to check the expiration date to make sure it wasn't rancid. The expiration was all good, so I gave it a stir. I had to stir and stir and stir for it to dissolve. Once the clumps were gone, the smell was 93% better. It's almost tasteless, but you can still smell it. It's very odd. The reviews are spectacular all around from vital proteins to just the normal things that bone broth can do for you, so I'm looking forward to the benefits. I'm most looking for help with my GI tract and memory.
The chicken is much better than the beef. I can drink this in hot water without difficulty. And I must admit I feel much better.
I dont know if it's because its powdered but it literally smells EXACTLY like dog food. I've had liquid bone broth before and I don't feel the same way, so I'm not sure whats going on. It's a quality product so I'm going to finish it, but even as a non-picky eater it's tough to get down.
I bought this because I LOVE the plain collagen peptides. Thought this would be good. I used a delicious bone broth from a competitor, but wanted to try this. There is a strange bitter taste. I looked at the ingredients and all that was listed is bone broth. Not going to purchase again, but I will continue with the plain powder.
Even in hot water this broth gets very clumpy and is difficult to mix and god help you if the powder gets on the side of the bowl or pan...it will be cemented on! I really like the flavor and having broth on hand but it is not as convient to use as I thought. Wouldn’t buy again
All I can say is yuck! I don’t know how someone puts this in their drinks. I found it very strong and not suited for any kind of smoothie or sweet drink. I’ll have to figure out what to do with it since I opened it and tried it, will stick to the collagen that is truest unflavored, and just try to get bone broth needs by eating the food.
I tried the sample and I'm so glad I didn't actually purchase it. The taste is truly so terrible. I really tried to choke it down but eventually gave up. There's no reason why It should taste this terrible for what it costs. Maybe it's ok hidden in soup or something. But it seems wrong you'd have to hide it in something. It's broth for goodness sake.
I was expecting this to be somewhat palatable since it is an organic grass fed, pasture raised bovine product. This smells and tastes awful. I really hate to through it all away because it wasn't cheap. So disappointed.
I wish I would have read the reviews before spending the money on this. I did not enjoy the product and would suggest that you try it first if you can. It tasted like water and dog food. It did however mix in the water nicely.
