I tried this product as my mother used it for years. I didn't really believe the benefits until I tried it myself. I have had a lifetime of intestinal issues and pain, (not trying to diagnose anyone just using what's good for me) and menopause issues including thinner skin, unusual joint pain. I started noticing a difference after 6 weeks very pleased.
I'm not one to jump on a supplement bandwagon based on manufacturer claims, so I did some research %26 found that there was some good scientific evidence behind the vital proteins collagen. I am a 55 yo woman with fair skin that seems to just bruise %26 easily bleed every time I bump into anything; most of the time I don't even know what I did to get that dark red/purple spot on my arm, even though I'm in good heath %26 don't take blood thinners. I can honestly say I have been AMAZED at how much it has helped with that!! I even did a little “test” to see if it was my imagination, or if it really was the Vital Proteins (I use the gummies %26 take the recommended 4 gummies/day dosage), and found that for me at least it really is the gummies helping out!
I love these gummy's they taste great and they really work great on my old joints. I have bad knees and had to get shots until I started taking these. They are out of stock often so I buy 3 at a time now!
These are quite big and it takes 4 for a serving however the taste is great so I don't mind it. I can't really speak to the benefits yet. If you order these just be aware that depending on the outside temperature the may come stuck together or like mine lost their shape. Not sure if that I fluencies the effectiveness.
Very self conscious of my increasingly thinning hair and as soon as my nails grow to show the white tip I would always cut them because as they'd grow they would always split . So I would never polish them. I take vital protein gummies faithfully everyday. My thinning hair seems to be growing and my nails are growing stronger that I can actually polish them now. I guess I must've been really low in my collagen levels.
I like these because I believe that they do help strengthen my nails and help my hair. I'm not sure about my skin if there is a difference but it doesn't seem to be hurting it either. I have been taking them for about two years now. I've had thyroid issues since I was 20 and I'm 61 now, had the thyroid removed seven years ago. It did cause my nails to be soft and split which they no longer do since starting the collagen and my hair was thinning and it seems to have helped with that issue as well. I'm glad I tried it and I'll continue.
2.5g of collagen per serving seems like very little. And the amount of sugar seems high too. I'm wondering if this amount is typical in collagen vitamins…I think I'll do more research in other brands.
They were all melted into one solid mess stuck to the bottom. No way can they be used.
Product arrived with gummies all melted together into one big blob, no individual gummies. Returning, clearly product was not in a climate controlled environment during shipment.
I order this via Walmart pickup. It had plastic around the lid but when I removed it. It looked like there had been a seal removed and there were only 62 gummies and not 120 like it says on the bottle.
