I was making a pre-workout drink similar to this with protein powder and Gatorade powder so I was thrilled when I found this all in one product. Great for morning workouts when your not ready to eat but want to be fueled for good performance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with this pre-workout from Vital Performance! The Yuzu Clementine is the best taste!! It only takes 6 ounces of water with one scoop, so it goes down quick and easy. I wait about 15-20 minutes after drinking it before I start warming up, and when I start my workout I can definitely tell that my energy is higher and I feel like I have more endurance during the workout when I drink this before. I love that it has collagen peptides in it too. I highly recommend this!
i bought this in a bargain bin and figured even if it was bad i would get my money's worth. really surprised that it's better than any of the top shelf pre workout i've tried. i don't feel it working but my improvements are as much as ten-fold so i'm ordering another container of Vital Performance guava lime with alpha GPC this week. i don't usually leave reviews and it's rare that i have any loyalty to a brand but this was a game changer
I've tried a few different brands of preworkout and so far this has been my favorite. I'm not a fan of the artificial ingredients found in most preworkouts and stevia leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so when I found this brand I was excited. I've tried the passion fruit and now the guava. The flavor could be better but honestly it's pretty mild and I even drink it concentrated. I'll take mild flavors over bad ingredients any day. I'll probably work my way through all the flavors to find the one I like best. As far as preworkouts go, I think it works great and I haven't experienced any negative side effects. I don't find it clumpy at all, I actually think it dissolves nicely and I just stir it with a spoon in cold water.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I purchased this pre-workout for our own personal use. it is the perfect pre-blend for my wife as it gave her a good boost throughout her workout. I imagine her smaller frame makes it great for her. I on the other hand tried it and it did not give me enough kick for my workouts, I quit using it and left it for her, but she loves it
I got the PRE yuzu clementine vital performance about 2 weeks ago. I like it but don't love it. I love the energy it gives me before a workout (or to get through the afternoon) without any jitters. I find that 1 scoop of power is enough for me ( 70mg caffeine) though there is a 2 scoop option. There are also no added sugars which is great. I don't really enjoy the flavor. I find the clementine flavor to be very artificial tasting and a bit chalky. The directions call for 6oz of water for 1 scoop. For me this is way too intense and I have to mix 1 scoop of power with about 20 oz of water and the flavor is still powerful. The flavor isn't so bad that I won't drink it though for that pre workout energy. Overall I'd recommend and I'll probably switch to a different flavor. First time I tried pre I got the watermelon flavor. It was terrible but the product itself was great so I decided to try another flavor. This one was even worse. I'm not giving up on this product though and will be trying another flavor next. This is an awesome pre workout that is clean and it works! Taste is 1 star, performance is 5 which is why I gave it a 3. Drink with caution, especially if you're sensitive to taste. I don't add much water so I can chug it.
Taste is not great at all, felt a little bit of energy for my workouts but nothing to justify the cost of this product. Much cheaper and better alternatives.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had other products from Vital Proteins and love them - but I cannot recommend this. I drank it before my morning bike ride and it was terrible! I don't know how something can taste chalky and bitter and sweet at the same time, but it's awful. I powered through it and honestly it hurt my stomach so much. I felt like I was going to be ill on my ride. I don't have a sensitive stomach, but this was not good.
This is specifically for the watermelon/blueberry. I haven't tried any other flavor. This is the most disgusting thing that I have ever ingested. I gagged after every sip and I couldn't finish it. One time when I was 16 I drank half a bottle of banana rum with no chaser. I would rather drink that again than take one more sip of this awful substance. How did this even make it onto shelves? This is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. You guys should be paying me for the pain and suffering I have endured. I literally licked my arm to get the taste out of my mouth because I didn't have any water or snacks to save me. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS.
