Considering the price point of this model, it works perfect. Could not ask for more.
I purchased this product as a Christmas present for my niece. I am unsure of the quality of this product, however I am told it is used often. It was a great rate for the product and arrived quickly to the store I requested it shipped at.
Nice little device
This microscope is nice for the price that I paid for it. The tools that come with it are plastic and the description said it came with a hard shell carrying case, it did not. My son loves using it and I decided not to mention my disappointment in the product to him. It is a good microscope for beginners though.
Really disappointed even though the price was so low, I did not have high expectations, but it was useless. Could not get it to focus clearly and just wasted my time. Bought it for a grand kid, but never gave it to her after trying it out as I didn't want her to be disappointed too. You don't even get what you pay for with this one.
I regret purchasing this as a gift for a teenage boy. The slides and slide covers are made of plastic. The covers are extremely thin and seem easily damaged, even just by cleaning them. The focus is poor in 150x and 900x, while the 450x was just slightly better. I did not find 20 pieces. If you include the box, instructions, and packing material you might get close to 20.
I tried several times and with several different items only to be disappointed that the focal area was not nearly sharp enough to be clearly viewed.
The saying, "You get what you pay for." could never be truer. This microscope is a waste of money (It's going back!) It's extremely difficult to focus, the slides are cheap plastic and have flaws in the viewing portion. The tools are made of plastic and are useless. My 7 year old granddaughter lost interest within ten minutes of attempting to use this microscope. Any child interested in using a microscope will be frustrated and disappointed with this set. My advice is to spend a bit more and get a better quality set.
