I'd say that this tv is the best bang for the buck. I shopped around alot before buying it and nowhere did they sell 120hz TV with a contrast ratio higher then 10000:1 and 1080p and a ton of features that I needed for this price. If you compare this to a $1000 dollar TV then you're not going to be happy because there is a reason that TV is $1000 and this one is $360-380. I've seen LED's Plasmas LCDs LED/LCD hybrids ect and this picture is beautiful. The Hertz may bother some people but 120 is great for under $400. The Refurbish part doesn't bother me. There are only 4 main parts to a TV. The Screen, The Power Board,The Video/Sound and the the Port Switch. So if one of those went up or were defective, then It get's popped out like a card from a PC and a new on gets put in it's place.It then makes this TV a refurb. The only thing that looked alittle used was the inside part of the TV stand that you can't see when you use the stand. It looked alittle scratch from the person taking it apart I guess. I also bought a 2 year TV warrenty with it just to be safe. The only complaint I would have is the sound. But I have a nice 5.1 system so it's not that big of deal to me. I didn't expect the TV speakers were going to be blowing my ears out either.They just aren't real loud. Easy to hook up, I got the TV 3 days after ordering. I was kind of worried when I kept reading people saying that they would see their item processing for days and no shipping info. The processing took about 30 hours which they say to allow 24-48. I did rush shipping so it was shipped and in my house the following day after processing. I am extremely happy with the product and I know if anything goes wrong, VIZIO is a great company and will come out to fix your TV's defects if something does happen. So don't let the refurbished bother you. It looks brand new and is flawless. It had everything with it even the batteries, manual and remote were still sealed. Just buy the 2 year warranty which was only 35 dollars(The best price for a TV warranty I could find) to keep your piece of mind. The shipping was very reasonable and is why I rushed it here. I didn't give the Picture quality a full 5 bars only because it's not a LED 240hz or higher, 1 million to 1 contrast ect. Those TVs look better but it's really a side by side look. I am also picky about my video looking good and running smooth. So I say it looks good with high expectations and high standards. Money is tight and people can't always get top of the line. This TV is great for this and I commend Walmart and Fed Ex on their Speedy Delivery and also taking care of the TV so it's not damaged before it gets here.
Now I've only had the TV for about 2 weeks now but it is definitely a fantastic buy. It was shipped to my house in 1.5 days in a vizio TV box. The TV looks absolutely perfect and there were no visible blemishes on it. The picture/sound quality are also great. I would definitely recommend anyone to buy this TV and for them not to worry about it being "refurbished". If anything goes wrong with the TV in the next few months/year I will change my review!
Been using the tv for about a week or so, and I am very happy with the picture quality. The only semi complaint that I have is that I find myself having to adjust the volume constantly when I am watching a movie (not sure if it's something I can fix). Overall, though, I am very pleased with my new tv.
I had been shopping around for a 120HZ 1080p 37 inch TV and comparing prices. Nothing out there compares to this value. Every other TV this size that I saw was at least $100 more and many a lot more; and they were 720P and 60HZ. The sound leaves something to be desired, but it is about what I expected it to be, although the surround sound is nice. The picture quality is excellent even with our analog cable connection. I did put a piece of black electrical tape over the Vizio light. All in all, this is an excellent TV; and for this price, it can't be beaten!
Haven't had the unit very long but so far it works great. Great price and shipping to store was free. The quality of the picture seems even better than the LED we have in the living room. The sound is not so great but it is only being used in the bedroom so it's not a huge problem.
Unbelievable price for a 120Hz 1080p TV. Was worried when read several reviews stating that this model had issues with volume levels fluctuating up and down during use. However, after 3 weeks we have seen no such issues....granted that this model was a refurbished, so perhaps it did initially have a problem but is now fixed. We are very pleased with this product at this price.
Just got this Vizio yesterday and it was a breeze to hook up and it shows beautiful pictures, even tho i don't have HD cable or satellite, it still makes regular cable look pretty good... I love to watch netflix on it and the picture is soooo beautiful. I would suggest getting a warranty on it since it's refurbished.
The 1080p and 120HZ makes for an amazing picture as long as you have quality signals that support those specifications. The sound on the other hand is a bit tiny without much high and low frequency range which is common with flat-screen tv's. I do however like the volume control that keeps loud commercials and scenes from blasting you out of your chair. I got a sound bar to make up for the tiny sounding tv speakers. Be aware that the only audio output from this tv is an SPDIF optical audio output. You will have to either get a sound system that supports this or an adapter. Overall, I am very happy with this tv. This is refurbished so the price was great and it came with a good warranty in case anything were to happen. So far there have been no problems and I don't think there will be.
Nice tv, setup easy, looked good while it worked, went black after a day's use. Turned it off till the next day came on ok for awhile but shortly went out again? I wish it would have worked out but stuff happens... I will say my local Wal-Mart was wonderful helping me out with the return, gave me an out standing deal on a modle they had in the store so I would not have to reorder. Ended up with a 42" LG, even swap with my return... saved abouyt $100 bucks :)
Ordered this TV on cyber Monday. Looked like a great deal. A little hesitant about the refurbished part, but offered reasonable 3yr service plan. Delivery was only four days after order so very please about this. Packaging was original and undamaged. Everything looked new when unpacked. But after plugging in and turning on, the screen was full of multicolored lines vertically and horizontally with a large black scalloped shaped black area in the left center of the screen and the far right 4 inches of the screen was black. Taking this bum deal back.
