After weeks of looking online for a HDTV, i finally settled on getting a phillips 47 inch once i got my tax return. When i went into my local walmart to buy it, i noticed that this Vizio had a better picture quality than the phillips. It was easy to hook up, and within 10 minutes of hooking my game consoles up, i was playing and watching. Watched harry potter and the order of the phoenix last night, and just finished watching no country for old men, and it was like i was looking out of my window. If you are looking for a great tv, at a great price, i highly recomend this product
this is a fantastic hdtv, I had bout a 32" vizio a few months back and i was super satisfied with my purchase, and now that i bout this 46" I'm am hypnotized every time i turn it on, HD signal looks extraordinary, sound is great, and the price is the best part I could of paid a lot more for an HDTV this size and I would of probably not feel this good about it, simple to use, really a still
I am a very picky person with a bit of an OCD streak... I spent the better part of a year searching for a TV within my price range. Finally settled on the Magnavox 47", but then I discovered this 46" Vizio gem. My local Wal-Mart had just put it on the rack next to the others, and it had the best picture of all of them, hands down! I have it sitting on a TV stand I also picked up at wal-mart for $79. (Home Trends "Hunter's Ridge" collection, #HR5) Hooking it up was a breeze... plug and play! Watched the Sox game today broadcast on analog cable in 1080i... The saying "It's like being there" is no lie. The remote is very simple, which is good. I can't stand a remote with a hundred buttons on it. Sound isn't bad by itself, but I have it running through a set of Bose 301's, Nice! The only thing it doesn't have is picture in picture, and a toggle feature to switch between viewing modes (widescreen, 4:3, zoom, etc) I can get over that... This TV's ease of use, simplicity, and quality far outweigh any downfalls. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. If you're going to shop around a bit more, I highly suggest going to each manufacturer website and looking up a .pdf owner's manual of the TV's you're looking at. You will have a much better understanding of the ins and outs of your prospective purchase. Happy shopping to you all! My year long search for a great TV has ended here.
great tv i just got it home i hocked it up and WOW the pic was awsome clear crisp very little blur i only gave it a 3 on sounds as i have it hocked to a sound system so i have the speakers off and for the gamers i say get this one it is dheaper than everything else this size very little blur my only problem is that sd channels are kinda fuzzy but no big deal this tv has all the same quailtys as a tv costing much much more i did research and as a budget tv this one is the best
I just purchased this tv and couldnt be happier. I have dishnetwork HD and the two together look awesome. Because of the amount of money a new tv cost I wanted to make the best buy possible. What stood out the most to me is when I saw this set side by side with the others tv's, the picture from this set was simply the best and wasnt the highest priced tv in the bunch. It is nice to get quality and price in a purchase. And I love buying from companies from the USA !!! headquartered in Irvine, California.
I just bought the Vizio 46" LCD, and so far I'm happy with it. I was looking at Plasma, but the family liked the LCD picture better. I was concerned about picture quality since I don't have HDTV (yet), but a few adjustments and what little graniness I had went away. The set was very easy to hook up, and I was surprised at the speaker quality (for built in speakers they actually sound pretty good). My daughter hooked up her Wii, and the sports games were awesome. I've only had the set for a day, but so far I'm luvin' it. I can't wait to try HD!
Installation and setup were very easy. Average picture for regular transmissions, but picture from HD sources is excellent. Use of remote and functions are very user friendly.
We purchased this TV in Dec. 2008 because our old 52" RCA with out. After doing alot of searching I noarrowed it down to this unit. And I am very happy with it! No problems with it at all. The game systems are great on there too. I have recieved alot of compliments on this TV.
Its a great TV- had it for few months and dont have any complains.
i bought this tv because i had a great experience with a vizio 32" that i still currently own. i was highly disappointed with this tv. i hooked it up with an hdmi cable and instantly turned on espnhd. it was very grainy. then i put on abchd and the basketball game was so grainy and blurry that i couldnt even watch it. standard definition was even worse. it looked as though this tv should have come equipped with a set of rabbit ears. my ps3 looked just fine, but, i didnt spend $1300 for that. im sorry, but, i cant and wouldnt recommend this tv to anyone. i returned it earlier tonight. i purchased an lg 47" for about $500 more, and am quite pleased. it blows this tv away ...
