This fan is the most beautiful modern day fan ive ever bought it is so quiet and it even looks better then the original silver swan. I hope Vornado brings back another classic antique fan design. I highly recommend this product if you like antique retro fan designs.
I just replaced my 20 year old Silver Swan fan. It looks great. Works great. I expect it will give me 20 more years of service.
I bought the fan at it blows me across the room. Definitely recommend d it for people who like the vintage look of modern times
I love the Silver Swan fan. This is my second one—the first one I purchased is at my office; this second one is for my home. It looks great, is sturdy, effective, not very loud. Easy to move around, which I often do. I also like that you can remove the grill to clean the blades, which do get dirty, especially with two fuzzy cats in the house. Just a great fan.
this fan is retro, beautiful, and powerful. I had one for a decade, but when moving house I broke one knob and lost another. It still turned on, so I kept it for another decade before I gave it away and bought another. I love it.
We got this exact fan 18 years ago as a wedding gift and it lasted till now, through several rooms and 7 kids. Just bought another for my hard-working husband for Father's Day! We love the look & great engineering!
More power than my Hunter “Century”. I use both. The Vornado is excellent circulation..low setting is more than powerful. The negative is the plastic band around the cage (Hunter uses an aluminum band with an adjustable screw!). If Vornado changed that one thing ...it would be unmatched.
Love the retro look and metal construction. Sharp and solid. Works really well and quietly moves a lot of air. Only reason it isn't 5-stars is the super flimsy plastic on/off/speed switch. I'm worried it's going to snap off every time I turn it.
I wanted a classic metal fan like the one I grew up with, and this looks like it's basically a remake. It's heavier than most modern fans, and it feel sturdy. It's quiet, too, which I was worried about. And it looks like a classic. Is it as heavy and solid as the one I remember? No, not quite - and the knobs are lightweight plastic, not the heavy bakelite that lasts for 50 years. On the other hand, it doesn't smell like burning plastic, so I am calling it a win. I've only had it for a month, but sitting on the floor of my home office it has kept me from needing another air conditioner.
There was dust on fan blades that needed to be cleanrd. Removed circular rim last week and spent better part of my Sunday trying to reattach rim. My fan now sits there. I have reached out to Vornado Help .com site. I will keep you informed We shall see. Not impressed with this at all.
