This head set is a lot of fun when playing first person games! I used it to play Skyrim and it was a lot more immersive! I also use it to play in a more relaxed position rather than holding the console in front of me, really helps when you want to sit in a recliner or similar space. I was able to use with my glasses pretty well, but if you have larger or thicker frames it may be a bit tricky, but I think it is still doable.
I love it it is an amazing product never did too much VR gaming but I will say this is been one amazing experience, playing Nintendo switch and VR only issue I had was the head straps after a few adjustments, fit snug and perfectly on my face but overall I write this a 10 out of 10
We wanted to try VR for the Nintendo Switch and recently purchased this headset from OIVO from Walmart. The shipping was super quick! The headset is ready to go straight out of the box. It was as simple as removing the lens stickers, putting our Switch in and adjusting the lens. The headset is super light and it fit our switch even with the protective case we have on it. The adjustable straps are super simple to tighten and the area where the headset meets your face isn’t constricting. The area surrounding your eyes is snug so you really feel immersed. Definitely give this headset a try if you’re wanting to dive into VR for the switch!
i think its cool especially when you play 3d games like mario odyssey and zelda. another reason why i like it, its because i can put this on and play laying down. its not heavy and holds the system in place tightly
my kiddo saved some money and decided this was fun and much more economical than the cardboard one that nintendo makes. relatively comfortable. he doesnt use it for extended periods of time, but it's fun to use occasionally and even works with a phone that has vr mode on.
The product is great and is exactly as described and shown. The problem is there are so few games you can use this with for the switch. If you truly want a VR experience use a different game platform.
Meh it's a cool little novelty concept but practically in the long run not really worth 20 bucks or any bucks for that matter like I said it's a fun gimmick but 12 hours into it I don't think it's going to matter or be back cool
I didn't even know VR headsets for Switch were a thing 😂. But I gave it try and booted up Breath of the Wild so here's my thoughts. The headset is easily adjustable and all ports/buttons on the Switch are accessible. But I had to start by looking up which Switch games are VR capable and the list is very small. I wear glasses and was unable to wear them while wearing the headset because the headset would press apply to much pressure onto the bridge of my nose. But no big deal, I can still see without them. Once I had the headset on, I noticed the foam isn't form fitting to my face and theirs sizable gaps so all of the support is coming from the adjustable straps. For that reason, I'm not sure you'd want to wear the headset for extended periods of time. Also, the Switch doesn't display the highest resolution so things can look a little pixelated up close. TL;DR - The Oivo VR Headset is a interesting novelty and fun to mess around with but you probably won't use it more than a few times to be honest.
It's okay. It's not bad but it's not exactly what I expected it to be. But for the price it's not bad at all!
It was unclear that this device will not work with most switch games. I wish it was made more clear. Bought it as a birthday gift and had to return because it wasn't compatible with a single one of my daughter's games.
