My intentions was to buy this globe from a Walmart store for Christmas, but I couldn't find it anywhere. So I ordered it instead and I must say this is a very nice and educational toy. I have a 3 year old little girl and she is very interested in the places and locations. This globe is filled with information and teaches you about the different languages, people and places. Believe me, mommy and daddy has learned a few things from this product as well. It is a great gift for any child.

My 3 year old loved it and learned to work it on his own after only a few days. He has learned continents and locations of the eiffel tower, grand canyon and even machu pichu! It was a hit at the Christmas party Santa gave it to him at.

I really like this toy, but I have to warn those considering buying it (1) the joystick is a little hard to use and takes practice and (2) children under 4 or 5 may need to do this with a parent. My son received this when he was three and although he liked "travelling" around the world and listening to the music, he wasn't able to complete any of the exercises properly without me. However, after having it 1 1/2 years and playing with it a few times a month, my son is now able to locate all the features, continents, people, etc. without help. When my son said "Oh the Great Wall is in Asia mom" I knew the toy was a good one. In the age of almost too user friendly toys, I don't think a toy with a small learning curve is a bad thing.

I bought it for my 5 yr old nephew and he loves it. His 9 year old brother and 3 yr old sister love it just as much. They enjoy using the joystick to fly around and visit places. It is a great learning tool as well, helping them to learn about different places. It was a great present.

My 5 year old grandson got this for Chritmas and out of all of his toys, he likes this best. Within 24 hours he knows that they speak Spanish in Mexico, Portugese in Brazil and knows where Machu Picchu is - to name just a few. He has had NO trouble manuevering with this toy completely on his own.

I usually like vtech products but was really disappointed with this one. I returned it...joystick not accurate...too hard for younger kids but too "cheesy" for 7-8 year olds.

A toy more suitable for older children.

I found this toy hard to use. The joystick is very sensitive and hard to manuever over the different icons. I wouldn't recommend this toy for toddlers or smaller children under age nine.
