This is the second baby monitor that I've tried. This one is fantastic. Excellent, crisp video. Accurate temperature. The ability to move around the camera through the monitor. Everything is great. The app is also perfect. Fast and pulls the video right up.
we absolutely love this monitor. I can view anywhere from my phone. The monitor itself has a decent range for service. The monitor stays charged for several hours. Zero conmplaints!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The units are very easy to set up, I just removed them from their packaging, plugged them in, and they are ready to go. The video and sound quality are great in comparison to the other monitors we have at home, but I wish the parent unit is touch screen enabled which it isn't (I kept trying to press on the screen out of habit). It's very helpful for me to keep an eye on my other children while taking care of my baby and vice versa. I also like that it came with a wall mount and the night vision is good quality as well. I was able to download the Vtech Baby 1080p app on my smart phone and pair it successfully to the camera without much difficulty. However, the app itself is a little hard to use. It has a lot of cool features such as setting up alerts, accessing event log, temperature detection, and much more but I kept on getting stuck on “loading” and “connection failed” message when trying to access these features. Other than that the app is really helpful to remotely access the camera without the parent unit. Overall I am happy with this baby monitor and it has been very reliable and working great.
I've been thru 4 monitors already looking for the perfect one. I wanted one that I could have at least 3 cameras, cause I wanted eyes everywhere in her room. But with this camera, the camera itself tilts and swivels, the view is so big and wide, its perfect!!! And you can add up to 10 monitors but with the wide range I only needed one. The camera is perfect, night vision is automatic, beautiful!!!!
It's decent had for a couple of months. I was sketchy due to my older vtech model needing 3 replacements. It's nice being able to view from my phone and the parent unit as well. If you want to add a camera you're better off just buying the one that comes with two. I contacted customer service and it's only available from one place and it costs more then the system with 1 camera.
We purchased to keep an eye on our 6month old while he is sleeping and wanted a monitor that had a mobile app as well. The app works very well does take some time to set up. The only hiccup we had was it kept saying we needed to be on the same wifi as the monitor but as soon as we shut off wifi on phone it worked great. Video quality is great and the ability to hear and talk through is great. Setting up the wall mount for the camera took some time to get it were we could see him in crib and be near power source. Over all love the quality and price was in our range of monitors. Only downsides we noticed are its tricky setting up app, mounting took so moving around of things, only works on the 2.4ghz wifi as well.
The monitor picture quality is pretty decent. It'll be perfect if the video wasn't off. I'll hate for something to happen and I'm unaware of the situation until 10secs later (even the notifications are off)... that would've been 10secs gone that I could've prevented something from happening. This monitor do NOT have all of my trust. It would make a good security device when away from home tho... works best if within the camera range it recommends on WiFi. Within the range I'll give it 3 stars. Best thing about it is the quality pic
Specifically bought this model for the wi-do/app capability and none of the reviews mentioned the app is garbage! Read the reviews on the App Store. Logs you out, doesn't recognize password, reset password and it says email account does not exist. I set this up 16 hours ago!!! Developer response is they had an outage two days ago and it's now resolved. Nope, not resolved! Pan tilt zoom on camera is great but I was really looking forward to using the app and leaving the base in the bedroom since reviews on product say the battery for the base has a short life.
The battery life of monitor is very awful. It bearly lasted for 6 months. Now it doesn't work without connecting to power. For the price I think we can lots of better options. Would not recommend this product
I loved this monitor until a week later it disconnected from the camera while my child was napping and wouldn't reconnect. I also had connectivity issues the entire time.
