I bought this 2 weeks ago to watch over my 5 week old twins. It's a fantastic product. The screen is nice and large and the colour video is vibrant. I love the infra red night vision which by the way is projected in black and white. As I'm writing get this I'm watching hinges the twins sleeping. I like the fact I can carry the monitor around the house with me without having it plugged in. Recharging the battery is a snap. I highly recommend this product.
I have had this monitor for just over a year. Just recently it has broken for the second time. The plug in to the monitor keeps snapping on the inside then it's unable to charge. Sent it back the first time and was sent a new one but it has happened again within 3 months of receiving a new one. Would never buy this monitor again. For the money I would get a different brand.
Night vision feature stopped working less than three months after I received this item as a gift. Resolution and colour quality of the screen in daylight mode are not what I would have expected for a product at this price point. Incredibly poor quality and unreliable product. Will be returning, and NOT for replacement. I don't want another one of these. Would not recommend.
We had this monitor for under 6 months. It only charges some of the time and it freezes as well. I like the larger screen but its not worth it for the awful quality.
Like other review said, it doesn't pickup baby crying if you set the camera "far" away to see the baby crib. The focal length of this camera is so bad, that if you mount the camera next to your crib, you only see the baby head only. You have to mount it across the room to see the whole baby. But then at that distance, it doesn't pick up baby crying. Also at that distance, your ear will hear the baby crying before the parent unit wake you up. Also the parent unit beeps so Loud when you adjust the volume (there's no way to mute it). The old VM321 is much much better. Camera cannot use battery, which VM321 again much better.
This is less than a year old and I can't get the monitor to turn on anymore. The red light is on to indicate its charging but when I hit the power button it just flashes and goes black. Also sometimes I can hear him crying but the monitor doesn't even pick it up. Not happy as now I'll have to go and spend another $200 on a new monitor less than a year later.
The sound on the monitor is awful and does not pick up the newborn whimpers or cries. It will only pick up wailing cries which does not help one bit as you want to be alerted with the smallest noise and this definatley does not pick that up. It doesn't even pick up my toddler screaming from the other room. Also, you cannot play music from your controller to play in the room where baby is. You only have the option to press the music button on the camera monitor which is in your babies room. This is not beneficial as you don't want to be walking into your babies room just to turn the music off. Id like to avoid waking my baby up. All in all, super disappointed in this model with v tech. I will be returning this monitor as I am extremely dissatisfied.
I had my eye on this monitor for a while as it looked to be pretty good & wasn't crazy priced. We have been using it for about a month & I majorly regret purchasing it. First off, the wall mount does not tilt so you have to mount the monitor sideways in order to be able to see your baby, the only other way would be to mount it on the roof but the cord isn't long enough & it says not to use with an extention cord. The purpose of the monitor is to see your baby? Shouldn't have to mount it sideways in order to do that, grrrrr. Secondly, like I said, we've only been using it for about a month... the plastic piece that covers the lcd screen is popping off at the top & I'm constantly having to push it back into place. So now I'm going to have to go through the company to get a replacement, what a pain in my butt!!!
this is a horrible monitor for 1 reason only, the charging connector to the parental unit. My daughter is 2 1/2 and our 3rd Monitor has just stopped charging. The connector is horrible. Check the connectors first. I would not buy this one again we replaced because we already had the camera secure in the wall.
We bought this monitor as it seemed a good deal....wrong! It stopped working after 3 weeks. It would not connect to the camera. We tried everything possible and still no luck.... so it was returned and we will not be buying the same brand
