My granddaughter who is 5 wants to be like everyone else. Now she is able to have fun and learn without knowing she is learning. However, she already is one smart cookie. V-Smile is easy to use, easy to read, easy to handle for little hands. It is the best purchase I made this year!
I bought this item for my twin daughters the 1st year they came out 4 xmas which they used day and night with and with out the TV adapter which is cool. I bought this product because Vtech stands behind its word when one of the my twins Vtechs stop working 1/2 yr into owning it i called VTech and they told my to send it they would either fix it or send a new one and they did, the other twins vtech has lived through falls down 15stairs, drownings in pools, and its still ticking and i dont work or get paid by VTech! so if you have a problem w/the product return 2 walmart or call VTech
I bought this VSmile for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas this year and she loves it. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the money because she got a regular Vsmile game system last year and didn't play with it that much, but she loves this handheld. She takes it with her in the car when we run errands and carries it with her around the house as well. It seems to be well built and has held up well to her abuse. I like the adjustable control for right or left hand positions too. I highly recommend this product.
Bought this product for my granddaughter for Christmas and her mother has told me that she is always using it when they go anywhere in the car. And that she is really enjoying using this product. She also has the the unit that it plugs into the TV that she can use it to interact with and keeps asking for more tapes for it. So I would highly recommend this to parents who have young children my granddaughter is 4 as it is helping her in preparation for when she will start school this coming fall and making learning fun. Had something along this line when her mother was young and it also helped her prepare for school plus it keeps the kids busy while in the car yet still learning and enjoying new challenges. Thanks.
The pocket V-Smile is perfect for my 4 year old granddaughter who has wanted a handheld for over a year because her 8 year old brother has a Game Boy. She could easily follow the directions in the games for her age, and has been totally absorbed with it from the beginning. I think it definitley has educational value in the games but also in the issue of fine motor skill development and eye-hand coordination.
I wish we had these when we were kids!!! The main goal with this genre of technology is to combine video games and learning. There are a handful of high quality products out there that have achieved this goal, and the V-Tech V-Smile is most certainly one of them. My daughter is 5 and began kindergarten this year. Her reading, math, and problem solving skills have visibly improved since she starting using the V-Smile. This is a great product and the software selection grows with your child. Also, as long as it's a V-Smile Smartridge, it will be compatible with both the TV system and portable game (which can also be connected to a TV!!). I recommend it highly if you are looking for something that will both entertain and educate your child rather than having them watch these stupid cartoons on TV.
I just purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. Before I wrapped it, I had to try it out, and I love it! We already have the home system, since the games are interchangeable, I got the handheld. The graphics are great and the narration is very easy to understand, which is good because she is only going to be 5 and cannot read yet. I'll check back after Christmas and let you know if she likes it.
I got this for my 4yr old for her birthday so that she can play her games in the car since she enjoys the t.v. console so much. It is really easy to use, all I had to do was show her what buttons did what and she was playing her games with no trouble. V tech recommends this for 5yrs and up but my 4 yr old is having no trouble at all.
My daughter loves this! We also have the V. Smile system, and love that the game cartridges can be played in both.
My 5 year old Daughter recieve this as a Christmas gift and has 4 games for it. She loves and it keeps her busy and it teaches her alot. But I dont know if I pick up an infected one because I had to buy 2 adapters in 1 month, the batteries died the next day replace them with good ones and they died in 2 days. I hope vtech can correct these products ASAP. I guess u get what u pay for.
