This is the second Vtech V-Smile, I have bought for my great grand children. The boys 3 & 5, loved their's so much, I got one for my 3 yr old granddaughter. It keeps them busy, teaches them colors, shapes numbers, and coordination. The first one I got I bought the extra Joy stick for. They love the Mike they can sing in. It was a great The boys are so competitive it is a good out let for them. It will grow with them. As they age you can get age appropriate software.
This is one great learning tool. Bought for a 6 yr old and she is just crazy about it. On it all the time, learning alot. Traveling in car keeps her busy with headset on. Every child should have this!!! Well worth the money spent for it.
My 4 year old loved it she had never used any game system before but she pick up quick it was easy for her to use and the choice of games are great. She is also learning and I love that! We got the extra controler and my 7 year son sits and plays with her.
I bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday. She loves it and so do I. I am thrilled to be buying more games for it in the near future. My daughter plays with it and takes it over to grandma's to play also. She has learned a lot for only having it for a month and a half. I play along with her or just watch her and to see the smile on her face is all that matters. The only thing I would suggest is, if you use it a lot, by the AC cord to go with it. Using the batteries will drain them quickly unless you are able to recharge them.
It was easy to set up and use . It is good for young children, some use of the drawing joystick was a little confusing.
My daughter has loved hers for 2yrs now, it has realy taught her a lot and she loves all the character games and the learning part too. But we to have had a prolem with it not wanting to come on and not wanting to turn off but ive always found the problem to be the power cord, this has happened twice to us, but overall its a great buy!
My daughter received a playstation 2 for her bday and my son was so determiined to play. I thought this would really help the 'fights' over the ps. I was disappointed with this product. I bought this at Cmas. The price has went down a bit as I spent over 70 dollars including the AC adapter which DOES NOT come with it. So unless you plan to continually purhase batteries this is a must purchase of 10 bucks. It comes with 1 game that is a really good alphabet game. The graphics however is terrible on it. He doesn't seem to mind but it hurts my eyes. We purchased a blue clues game as well and that one seems to have a slight better view although the graphics is still not the best. I recommend purchasing the Smartbook with this system. It seems the graphics are a tad better and they can always look at the book. My son turned 3 about 3 weeks before he received this product and he likes it really well although the games for this system are all a little more advanced for him. He was to old for the baby vsmile and he's slightly to young for this one. I would wait until your child is at least 4 years before purchasing. I think they'd have more fun at that time and not be bored with it when they are able to understand better or else be prepared to sit through it and help out which is good 'learning time'
I purchased this product to help my 3yr old, who loves to play computer games. It is a wonderful product, however, I think that aged 3 is a bit too young for it's use. My 3yr old has yet to develop the coordination needed to play the game on her own. But I think as she ages, it will provide many hours of great learning entertainment for her. I would highly recommend this product.
I expected this toy to be more user friendly for my grandchildren. Don't like the pen that well, sometimes doesn't go where it is directed. I must say that it teaches them, though.
This is the 2nd one of these that we have had for our 6 year old. Both have died with in 2 months. With no help from the factory. This was a gift and she had the gym pad and about 4 games with it so now we are out $150 + Beware!!!!
