My son loves this thing! It gets banged around a lot and it handles the abuse well. I love the fact that there's 2 choices for volume. And this particular vendor is a lot less expensive than others. A fantastic purchase!
I bought this for my 14 month old son for Christmas. He loves it. It is now my go-to toy to distract him or entertain him when I need to put him in his play pen to get some stuff done or in the car when we are driving. He likes to turn the pages and play with the interactive parts and listen to the sounds and sentences.
This was a great book, not only was is pooh, but it helps to teach some basics. Kids young and old loved flipping through this book to try out the different 'switches'. It did work with no problem for about a year, which I guess is pretty good as far as kid toys go, but now even if you put in fresh batteries it sounds like pooh was hit by a train. Although it is still in circulation with their other toys cause even though the sounds don't work the younger (under 2yrs) kids still like going through it to look at the pictures and move the stuff around.
I would recommend this storybook. My girls LOVE this thing. I gave it 4 of 5 stars for durability, but maybe should have said 5 because I don't know what would stand up to being dropped on a ceramic tile floor a few times at Grandma & Grandpa's? Even with that, it is still something they play with.
I'm giving this to my one yr. old grandson for his birthday. The quality is excellent and looks like it can endure lots of page flipping. I know he will enjoy the sounds and sliders. The only negative I have is the recording is not super clear (could be gramma's hearing). I replaced the demo batteries it came with as they were almost dead but it didn't change the sound. Not a big issue at all. I love that it has a lower sound button...great for Mom!
The kids really do like this book, it keeps kids of a very large age range entertained and its great for in the car. But $15 for the item is a bit much. I paid $10 for it the day after thanks giving and I got 3 of them through the click and ship. Two of the 3 did not work properly, I'm sure it was just the batteries but its kind of hard to gift an item that doesn't work. The one that did work I kept and they do like it.
I bought this book for my son for Christmas and within 1 week it stopped working. I think because the book was left open and the batteries died. I'm still trying to figure out how to change them. But, the little time that my son did play with it, he enjoyed it.
Great idea! We recently took a long car trip and my son was able to "read" the storybook in the carseat and it kept him occupied. Sometimes the voices seem muffled and the movements don't always go with the voice but it is a cute idea. I like the idea that it is a toy and book in one and minimized the items that we had to take on our trip.
Our 12 month old son loves this book. It doesn't really seem to have an "off" switch. It turns off eventually after the toy is inactive. As mommy, I admit sometimes the toy is annoying to me that it will suddenly start "talking" or making noise again when we're trying to other activities. But, from a child's perspective, they love it, it's easy for them to turn the pages and they like the light that flashes and fun noises.
I bought this book for my 6 month old daughter because she loved the similar product by Vtech. After having this book for 1 week, it stopped working! We changed the batteries and everything, and it still won't work. Save your money and buy the Vtech product instead.
