I have only had the Wagan Power Dome NX for about three week. I like it a lot the radio very handy used it by the pool, cleaning my car, fishing off the dock. The jumper cables are about 18" were most are only 10" to 12".I have not used the Air compressor but again the air hose 14 to16" long. The web page said that it only has to be recharged one a mouth if not used that's not true it more like every two or two 1/2 week. But for the coat of the Wagan Power Dome NX it is worth ever CENT !!!!!!!
I sleep with a cpap and was always worried about camping with my family because I can't sleep, at all without it. This allows me the freedom of sleeping without a generator running all night keeping everyone else awake. We can sleep in a campground with no power and have no worries. It charges in the car the next day.
Delivered via Fedex in about 3 days. I have had it a couple weeks. It charged up good. I plugged my 23 inch flatscreen tv into it and it worked fine. Since I bought this to have in case of power outage and in case I needed the air for tires or a battery jump off here at home I will keep it in my house instead of my car.
As far as the actual job the product does, it does work well! The radio is loud, the inflator works (which I have used a ton!!) and it jump starts well. The thing is, the quality of the product is not the best. It does have a very nice rubberized black outside to it, which keeps it from sliding around in my trunk and such. So far the red light telling me it is charging broke on the second charge, the little glass or plastic cover over the radio display fell off after a few months and the plug to keep water out of the charging port ripped after the 5th or 6th charge. The black part on the front which goes around all the plugs and labels everything is just a stupid, cheaply made sticker which looked like it was going to fall off the moment I took it out of the box. It hasnt' yet, but I don't trust it. Oh also, the pathetic excuse for a "flashlight" is awful!!!!! I would rather use a wet match! If you dont care about the little things, like what I listed and just want a solid product that works, then I would suggest it. However, for the amount of money I spent for this product, it should have been made much better! One more thing, this product does not jump very well for larger vehicles. I mean like big trucks. I drive an older lincoln towncar and it takes the largest battery Ford uses in its cars. So, it does jump a fully dead battery, but it takes a lot out of it. For a large truck, I would recommend a regular high cranking amp jumper, stay away from these multi-use powerpacks due to their lack of power for serious or extreme use.
The 1st one I received everything worked fine on it, until i put a full charge on the box. The radio quit working. I took the unit to Canada on a fishing trip and everything else worked great. Just disapointed that the radio quit. Walmart promptly replaced the unit, and everything seemed to work after a full charge. Everything except the 110v inverter. the fuse is good but no lights or voltage. I haven't even called walmart on the 2nd unit yet. i just got back from my trip and haven't mailed the 1st one back yet.
sent it back, did not work.
The radio sensitivity (how well it receives radio signals) is very poor. It could not receive a station that I listen to regularly on my car radio and on a receiver I have in my kitchen. The doors for the compartments that hold cords and accessories were warped and one will not latch because the latch is warped. Very poor quality control.
Could not charge,because A/C charger was damaged. Radio was on when I unpacked unit and could not turn it off. These problems right out of the box was a bad sign.
This was my first jumpstarter and I was excited, at first. Out of the box screws were falling out and the light was loose. Customer service give the run around so tried to bear with it. I was worried when this thing couldn't even power a laptop, but I bought it to jump my car so ignored that obvious warning sign. Then the day came that I needed to jump my car. Needless to say it failed at this too, and caused my check engine light to go off. My Power Dome is in an unnamed land fill now, and if I come across any product baring the name "Wagan" I'll avoid it like the plague.
