This makes it easy to cut your own hair.
Easy to use. Has alot of different attachments that other clippers don't. Because the head turn from a left to right holding pattern makes it easy to clip your hair with out help.
It takes a while to get the hang of it, but if you follow directions and use the attachment(s) which cut only a little bit at a time, you'll do no damage. Take your time at first. My only complaint is that the unit is rather cheaply made. I've used mine for over two years though, and it still works but the battery no longer holds a charge and the motor is making weird noises. However, it has paid for itself several times over, and I just ordered a new one to have when the first one bites the dust. I recommend this product.
I was tired of paying $20 for a 10 minute haricut so I bought this. I have had no problems at all. It takes a little practice, but even the first time I used it I thought " wow, it coudl be a lot worse". I"m a guy so I really don't look at my hair that much, so I think this is great. A little more practice & I'll be ready to charge my friends $15.00. All in allo, very mush worth it if u r not afraid to cut ur own hair.
I was in the middle of my first haircut and it stopped working! I read the manual and tried to remedy the problem by moving the blades but, it just wouldn't cut. I tried several different times, and oiled the blades and did everything the manual said to do. Do not buy this product!
I just received my WAHL Deluxe 18 -Piece Self-Cut Clipper Hair cutting Kit this morning. Wahl is well known for its trimmers so I had HIGH expectations for this one. First thing I noticed was that the unit is made from a lightweight and rather cheep feeling plastic. I don't think, it would take much of a drop on a hard counter top or floor for the body to crack and brake. All the weight of the unit is in the head so it has an unbalanced feel to it. The lock button for the rotating head, is simply for looks as it does nothing. The Head rotates freely with out depressing the button, and ends up rotating as your cutting. The head it self seems to loose power in the left or right turned position. And when in the up or down position the head seems to vibrate so much that it seems like sooner or later it will simply vibrate loose. Over all, WAY over priced for how cheep the construction is. I would suggest you invest your money in another model, as I intend to do once I return mine.
Construction is cheap plastic; very lightweight. I used it once and it worked okay. I tried it again a month later and it refused to turn on. I will be returning this.
I followed the directions, charged for over 24 hours, it wouldn't start. I called and they said they were going to send a label to return it. It was a pain in the butt to drive out to the store to get it. Then have it not work.
